Hair
Do not color, cut, or perm your hair at this time. First trial run for hair is Tech Sunday. It doesn’t have to be perfect.
Girls: Unless told otherwise, your hair should be curly & teased big or style a side ponytail. Big bangs are a must! If you have short hair, think Olivia Newton John, slicked on the side, teased big on top! Guys: We’ll talk.
Guys: Foundation or powder, blush in neutral tones, dark eyeliner, chapstick. Choose colors that go with your coloring.
Leads: Foundation and/or powder, blush, eyeliner. Girls bring black mascara, eye shadow, lipstick & liner. Guys bring chapstick. We will be working with you on colors & hairstyles.
Girls: Black mascara, dark eyeliner, foundation and/or translucent powder, peach or pink-toned blush, strong earth-tone or jewel-tone eye shadows and strong lipstick. Look to Loreal Hip Matte or Concentrated eye shadows & Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in “Love That Red” or “Love That Pink” for inspiration. Matching lip liner was big in the 80’s. Choose colors that go with your coloring. Dancers: You will need “nightclub” makeup. Look at the Hip Bright collection for eyes. For lips, look at HIP Shine Struck Liquid Lip Color in Arresting or Revlon Colorburst in Fuchsia or True Red. You will need makeup wipes to reset your makeup after “Saturday Night”.
