This book is entitled 'Pageant of London Illustrated' and is a

commemorative book about London published in 1951

published by Odhams Press of Long Acre. It has a foreword by

the Lord Mayor (Denys Lowson), and contains many black and

white photographs of London at work and play. It is a green

clothbound hardback.

It has a decorative flyleaf notice as follows:

'Presented by The Walker Bolton Group of Tanneries to the

Delegates of the International Council of Tanners to

commemorate their visit to Great Britain in the Festival Year

1951 and the Jubilee Conference of Council'.

My grandfather worked for the Walker Tannery in Bolton,

which is why I have the book now.
