Aspect Ratio is how wide the screen is so the relationship between its width and its height.
Standard Definition vs High Definition
-Standard Definition is lower then HD-Either 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio -DV PAL is a SD format- we use it lots.

Online editing
- online editing uses the highest quality to edit.
Offline editing
• Offline editing is part of the post production process, which used to be used more, it import the footage at a lower level of quality.

Linear editing is film from a camera so editing of 2D images.

Tapes vs hard discs
Hard discs are quicker because its all digital and tapes could tare away eventually because they are fragile and working with tapes is a lot more complicated because you have to use wires which go into the computer but with hard discs which is just a simple disc that goes into the computer.
