Amen.

First Reading

Isaiah 6:1-5

For Zion's sake I will not keep silent, and for Jeru-salem's sake I will not rest, until her vindication goes forth as brightness, and her salvation as a burning torch. The nations shall see your vindication, and all the kings your glory; and you shall be called by a new name which the mouth of the LORD will give. You shall be a crown of beauty in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God. You shall no more be termed Forsaken, and your land shall no more be termed Desolate; but you shall be called My delight is in her, and your land Married; for the LORD delights in you, and your land shall be married. For as a young man marries a virgin, so shall your sons marry you, and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall your God rejoice over you.

THE HOLY GOSPEL John 2:1-11

There was a marriage at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there; Jesus also was invited to the mar-riage, with his disciples. When the wine failed, the mother of Jesus said to him, "They have no wine." And Jesus said to her, "O woman, what have you to do with me? My hour has not yet come." His mother said to the servants, "Do whatever he tells you." Now six stone jars were standing there, for the Jewish rites of purifica-tion, each holding twenty or thirty gallons. Jesus said to them, "Fill the jars with water." And they filled them up to the brim. He said to them, "Now draw some out, and take it to the steward of the feast." So they took it. When the steward of the feast tasted the water now be-come wine, and did not know where it came from (though the servants who had drawn the water knew), the steward of the feast called the bridegroom and said to him, "Every man serves the good wine first; and when men have drunk freely, then the poor wine; but you have kept the good wine until now." This, the first of his signs, Jesus did at Cana in Galilee, and manifest-ed his glory; and his disciples believed in him.

Prayers of the People Form IV

Let us offer our prayers to Almighty God.

The reader continues:

Father, we pray for thy holy Catholic Church; That we all may be one.

Grant that every member of the Church may truly and humbly serve thee; That thy Name may be glorified by all people.

We pray for our Holy Father, Pope Francis, for Jeffrey, our Administrator, Steven, Bishop-elect, Michael, Bishop of Fort Worth, and for all bishops, priests, and deacons; That they may be faithful ministers of thy Word and Sacra-ments.

We pray for all who govern and hold authority in the nations of the world; That they may work for thy peace on earth.

Give us grace to do thy will in all that we undertake; That our works may find favour in thy sight.

Have compassion on (N., N.,...) and those who suffer from any grief or trouble; That they may be delivered from their distress.

Give to (N., N.,…) and all the departed eternal rest; And let light perpetual shine upon them.

We praise thee for the Blessed Virgin Mary, for Saint Peter, [for Saint N.] and for all thy saints who have entered into joy; May we also come to share in thy heavenly kingdom.
