On Sunday 3rd May 2015 Amy Swain, previously of Main Street, South Scarle married Jac !homas from

"incoln at All Saints #hurch, Swinder$y%!he day started out very wet $ut had dried up $eforeshe left for the church and the sun was shinin& whenthey came out after their marria&e ceremony%!he reception was held at '!he (hite )eather'near #aen$y #orner, "incoln and was followed $y a2*wee honeymoon in Me+ico%Many of you may have seen their do& '(alter' &oin&for wals with 'u$y' while he holidayed here inSouth Scarle%)elen

t was &rowin& in the shade of trees%

!he white petals are Duite divided and lon&er than the sepals% t has &ot smooth leaves andstems unlie another close relative * !he Mouse >ar% !he flowers shine out almost luminouslyand are very a$undant%

)avin& esta$lished its identity, we also discovered that this plant could $e calledB (eddin& #aes,Star of -ethlehem, .addy6s * shirt*$uttons, and Snapdra&on% !he latter is due to the loud poppin&the seedcases mae as they e+plode in June% t is nown to &row in woods, roadside ver&es,hed&erows and &rassy $ans% 7ntil it flowers, it is also easily missed% 9ow an interestin& fact is thatthis plant is edi$le% !he shoots can $e chopped into salads, steamed or Duicly $oiled% t was alsoused to cure $one pro$lems, hence the "atin name, and, $oiled with acorns, was a cure for stitch
