The Polo Room at Public House The Social at Public House Public House Restaurant

The Polo Room at Public HouseJust in time for the holidays, Public House at Warehouse Row introduces The Polo Room, a perfect venue for your holiday party, special occasion, dinner or social event

Since its opening in 2009, Nathan Lindley’s meat-and-three hotspot has become Chattanooga’s

go-to destination for quality, comfort dining. While Lindley’s original intent was to create the type of comfortable, casual dining experience that he himself enjoys, the success of Public House and the opportunities presented by its location at Warehouse Row have led Lindley to expand in a couple of ways. In 2010, he opened The Social, a casual yet classic downtown bar that incorporates elements of a speakeasy with large open booths and original, century-old brick and beams. Now, just in time for the holidays, Lindley has opened the Polo Room with seating for up to 50 guests, or standing receptions of up to 75. Named after the previous tenant, the Polo Room is completely separate visually and acoustically from the remainder of the restaurant. The Polo Room’s décor takes advantage of some of the building’s unique, historic features - large arched windows, 20 foot ceilings, exposed brick and original heart-pine columns. For reservations, call (423) 266-3366 or visit publichousechattanooga.com.

Kayce Hughes fashions for women A selection of Kayce’s favorite gifts Kid’s fashions at Kayce Hughes

Kayce HughesMeet Kayce Hughes, Mom and proud new owner of a new flagship retail shop at Warehouse Row. To learn more about Kayce Hughes, visit kaycehughes.com.

After college, Kayce landed a dream job in the design department at Ralph Lauren. Six years

later, she turned her talents toward motherhood while her artistic talents took a backseat. With five children at the time, it might have all ended there had Kayce not fallen in love with some vintage fabrics and begun sewing nightshirts for her daughters. “They were so cute that I had a seamstress make up some dresses and shorts for me as well,” says Hughes.

Today, Hughes has seven kids and, after spending several months in a smaller shop while her permanent space was being constructed, she recently moved into her new flagship store at Warehouse Row. Now that Kayce is in the larger store, she and her team have been able to expand their offerings of women’s clothing, accessories and shoes as well as children’s clothing and toys. They’ve also been able to introduce new features such as stationary and gift items. The new shop has couches and seating areas especially designed to encourage clients to sit, relax and drink in the possibilities while browsing for the best in casual elegance and modern vintage for women, children and home. At Christmas, the urge to decorate our interiors overtakes us. This holiday, REVIVAL takes its cue

from nature and turns our rooms (and even the old brick halls of Warehouse Row) into woodland bowers. Our formula? Get a major effect by not committing yourself to a lot of complicated things; instead of fifty different elements, pick only three or four -- and do each in quality!

REVIVAL employs fresh materials in singly bold gestures to conjure decorations that are at once vaguely ancient and simply modern.

Tuck masses of magnolia branches (our southern holiday staple) around a mantle – the shiny fronts and

velvety-brown backs of the leaves become even more special in their solo turn.

Gather potted evergreens into forests of green, instead of relying on the usual single tree. Left fearlessly undecorated, these simple potted clusters allow guests to focus on the fresh greens, pungent pine scenes, and strong natural shapes of the season. Compliment your greenery with masses of lush single-colored roses to create an understated, natural holiday statement.

For more of Rodney’s wit and magic, stop by REVIVAL at Warehouse Row or visit revivaluncommongoods.com.

Sylvan Style By Rodney SimmonsRodney Simmons of REVIVAL Uncommon Goods invites you to keep it simple this holiday season

When it comes to the holidays, less can sometimes be more, as with this evergreen-splashed mantle. Photo by Med Dement.

Let the natural colors of the season take center stage with a mass of single-color roses or a color of undecorated evergreens.

Gift Ideas For the Holidays and BeyondWarehouse Row merchants are serving up all kinds of great gifts this holiday season. Check out some favorites recommended by Ellie’s Fine Lingerie, The Cosmetic Market and Level 10 Salon.

This season, Betsy Dougherty, owner of Ellie’s Fine Lingerie, recommends Elle MacPherson bra and panty sets in whatever style

fits your fancy, from metallic satin to vintage lace and bright abstract patterns. Or, for sleepwear, choose Blush Lingerie sleep shirt and PJ sets in delicate polka-dot prints, black and white toile, dainty floral, or soft plaid. Casual Moments robes are also very popular. Wrap all the gals in your life from head-to-toe in a soft, fluffy, Casual Moments Cloud Fleece Collection robe, available in either white or coffee.

Fragrance is the perfect gift for someone special over the holidays and the Cosmetic Market is the perfect place to find a scent they will love. The

Cosmetic Market is the exclusive retailer of Trish McEvoy makeup, skin care, and fragrance in Chattanooga. Trish considers fragrance to be life’s unseen accessory, and we agree! Trish’s fragrances are meant to be worn alone or layered. Her popular #9 Blackberry Vanilla Musk ($50 0.5 oz. $80 1.7 oz.), is an inviting and irresistible blend of sweet blackberries and vanilla mixed with the warm aromas of musk and white rose. The perfect blend for the holiday season.

Two holiday must-haves: great hair and skin that glows. Level 10 has the solution: Keratin Complex Volumizing Dry Shampoo not only cleanses and

lifts hair without having to wash, but it also conceals roots, increases volume, and freshens hair -- all in a package small enough to carry in your purse! Level 10 also recommends microdermabrasion to decrease the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Removing the dead skin also helps your skin care products penetrate more deeply so that makeup will go on more smoothly. Purchase a package of 4 treatments for $220.00 or individual treatments for only $60.00 each.

Class-A Loft/Office Space AvailableWarehouse Row’s North building is undergoing a complete overhaul. The drawing below is a concept sketch by designer Rodney Simmons for one of several proposed intimate gathering areas we plan on incorporating into the space.

Hammers are swinging and saws are buzzing as Warehouse Row’s North building is treated to a

makeover worthy of Trish McEvoy and the Cosmetic Market. When completed, the space will undoubtedly be downtown Chattanooga’s most dynamic office address. With on-site dining, parking, shopping, salon services, pilates, 24-hour security and private common area lounges, the space is sure to appeal to large firms and small, boutique creative professionals alike. Warehouse Row offers competitive rates, unrivaled amenities, and suites starting at 1,000 square feet, along with the chance for Petunia’s tacos for lunch every day and drinks at The Social every night. Contact John Healy at (423) 266-5587 or [email protected] to arrange a tour.

Toasters aren’t the only thing popping up these days. “Flash” retail shops and restaurants are setting the

scene on fire in markets all over the country. It’s no surprise; pop-up shopping is a win-win for just about everyone -- property owners, merchants and clients alike. Chelsea Market in NYC is an old pro at pop-up shopping. Recently, they added pop-up dining to their repertoire with the introduction of JBF LTD - the most exciting pop-up food pavilion and restaurant New York has ever seen. But NYC isn’t the only place where flash retail is popping up. Last year, right here in Chattanooga, Warehouse Row paired designers Billy Reid and Alabama Chanin with regional culinary favorite Blackberry Farm for “Crafted by Southern Hands,” a weekend of food tastings and one-of-a-kind shopping celebrating the spirit of the South. Last September, 999 Peachtree in Atlanta, GA hosted a series of pop-up shops in conjunction with Fashion’s Night Out. One participating retailer, Revolution 11, liked the space so much that they decided to stay long-term. But pay attention! Pop-ups come and go quickly by design. A Holiday Boutique Market will be popping up at Warehouse Row this December 16-17. Find more information at warehouserow.net.
