WHY WASN’T IT CONQUERED?

• There had been a trade alliance between China and Europe, which is why Europe never needed to conquer them. As long as Europe got the land and goods it wanted, it was content. Europe eventually did begin to have influence in China after their trade franchise was dissolved.
