On August 1-2, 2008, wor-ship team members fromvarious Southern California WINchurches, such as WIN-Los An-geles, WIN-Artesia, WIN-InlandEmpire, WIN-Anaheim, WIN-SanGabriel and WIN-San Diego, gath-ered to attend The Legacy of Wor-

ship praise and worship confer-ence hosted by WIN-Los Angelesat the WIN-Artesia church venue.

The speakers and organizers ofthe conference were Pastor Priamand Marlyn Guiuan, the Interna-tional Music Directors of WordInternational Ministries. PastorPriam also serves as the AssociateSenior Pastor and Worship Pastorof WIN-Los Angeles. Praise andworship was led by the WIN-LA

praise team, the Pyros Youth Min-istry, and the WINSongs singers.

Pastor Priam and Sis. Marlyn elab-orated on what praise and worshipis by sharing on its various aspects:the musical aspect, ministerial as-pect, teaching aspect, the leadershipaspect, and the prophetic aspect.

They emphasized the need forexcellence in every aspect be-cause we are serving an excellentGod who deserves our best. Whenwe praise and worship, we bless

Worship is the foundation and motivation of everything we are and everything we do as a church andministry. Every time we lead worship, there should be change because worship sets the heart free.

Legacy of WorshipGods heart and He is pleased. Inprayer we seek the hand of God; inworship we seek the face of God.Our trials and tribulations begin toshrink as we sing declarations of thegreatness of the Lord in our lives.

The conference also examined therole of praise and worship in the lo-cal church. The structure of a wor-ship service, praise team conduct, andother practicalities to create a dynamicworship flow were discussed. As wor-shippers of the Lord we are appointedto be in charge of the testimony ofGod, to give thanks and praise beforethe Lord, and to assist and support theleadership of the church in our serviceto our church family and community,Pastor Priam and Sis. Marlyn said.

Lastly, the conference defined what

the WIN worship legacy is. The WINworship legacy is the distinct wor-ship culture of our ministry. It is theunique style and sound the WIN fam-ily has developed through the years.In order to sustain this legacy, train-ing and mentorship through confer-ences such as this one help to de-velop the gifts God has entrusted toHis worshippers. We are all part of thislegacy and are all called to worship.This WIN legacy has recently birthed
