How does thinking win-win create a mutual benefit for everyone?

Thinking win-win creates a mutual benefit for every one because every one wins! No one feels left out and everyone gets a positive effect! In the end everyone is happy!

Life Attitudes

Page 11: The Public Victory!

Life AttitudesWin Lose- You win and the other person loses. Essentially you want to win so badly that you make them lose. For example, in your basketball game there is this girl on the other team you don’t like. So you hit her in the face so hard with the ball that she must sit out. Then since her team is missing a player they are weaker and you win.

Page 12: The Public Victory!

Life AttitudesLose Win- You lose ( On Purpose) and the other person wins. Essentially you want to lose to make the other person happy or satisfied. For example, you are on a basketball team and are playing at the game. You have a friend on the other team who has just got out of a relationship with her boyfriend. You feel bad so when its your turn to win the game for the team you throw the ball short so that you make the girl happy and you lose and she wins!

Page 13: The Public Victory!

Life AttitudesLose Lose- You lose and the other person loses. Essentialy you do something wrong that you lose and the other person does something wrong that make them lose. For example, your friend tells your crush that you like him so you tell your friends crush that she likes him and you both know you did wrong and both lose.

Page 14: The Public Victory!

Life AttitudesWin Win- You win and the other person wins. Essentialy this is the life attitude you want to have. For example, if you have a friend who stole your pencil and you are so furious you decide to go over there and punch across the face. So, when you are walking over there getting ready to punch, something pops up in your head. You have the idea that maybe getting mad and creating a dangerous atmosphere wasn’t right. So in stead you talk it out. You win because you are proud of you and the other person wins because there not hurt!

Page 17: The Public Victory!

Tumor TwinsThere are 2 habits, like tumors, that can slowly eat you from the inside. They are twins and there names are competing and comparing. Competing- Competition is healthy when you compete against your self, or when it challenges you to reach and stretch and become your best but it because dark when you tie your self worth into winning or when you use it as a way to place your self above another.

Tumor TwinsThere are 2 habits, like tumors, that can slowly eat you from the inside. They are twins and there names are competing and comparing. Competing- Comparing is competing's twin and just as cancerous. Socially, mentally, and physically we are all on different timetables. Since we all bake differently we shouldn’t keep opening the oven door to see how our cake is rising compared to our neighbors cake.

Thinking Win-Win

Page 21: The Public Victory!

Thinking Win-WinHarriet Tubman was a win win! She was a win win because she saved herself and family and then she saved the rest of the world from still having slavery happening. The way that she did it was by leading enslaved people through a tunnel and made it clear to everyone that slavery is not right. Even though it wasn’t she that stopped slavery she made a mark on it and by the time other people such as Martin Luther Kink J.R had happened slavery was stopped!

Genuine Listening

Page 32: The Public Victory!

Genuine ListeningGenuine Listening is when you listen actually and put yourself in the other persons shoes. You listen and look at there body language and voice. You don’t dig out emotions and you don’t advise them. You just listen to try to understand so that if they want feedback you can give it.

Seeking To Understand

Page 38: The Public Victory!

Seeking To UnderstandMrs. King a teacher at South Seminole Middle School that teaches 6th grade reading seeks to understand. Whenever I want to talk to her or just want to say something she will genuine listen and will pay attention to body language and emotions. She will always understand and give feedback only if I want it. She will not advise or judge. She wont dig up emotions. Mrs. King seeks to understand!

Page 46: The Public Victory!

Diversity ProfilesShun Diversity-  They are scared of differences and disturbs them that other are different because they think there way is the only way, are they think that there way is the best way, or might even think there way is the right way.

Page 47: The Public Victory!

Diversity ProfilesTolerate Diversity- Tolerators  believe everyone has the right to be different and they don't shun diversity or embrace it either. They dont realize how much they are missing.

Page 48: The Public Victory!

Diversity Profiles Celebrate Diversity- Celebrators value differences and see them as a advantage not a weakness. They learn that 2 people that think differently work together better. They think  Diversity = Creative Sparks = Opportunity

Page 53: The Public Victory!

Road Blocks to Differences

Page 54: The Public Victory!

Road Blocks Ignorance- Your clueless. You dont know what other people believe, how they feel, or what they have been through. Usually ignorance starts when you dont understand. For example, you may not understand people with disabilities

Page 55: The Public Victory!

Road BlocksCliques- Hanging out with your friends is no problem right? But when that same group of friends starts to not accept people who are not like them it becomes a problem. hen your in a clique you get influenced to not value differences

Page 56: The Public Victory!

Road Blocks Prejudice- Even though we are all created equally we are all not treated equally. Pre judice is when you pre judge someone based on accent, race, ext.

Page 60: The Public Victory!

Synergy in Action

Page 64: The Public Victory!

Synergy in Action

This shows synergy in action because sometimes you have too understand what the person is saying before you can be understood. For example, the boy first should understand what the master means (Use other door) before the boy can be understood ( He wants to do karate)
