OSA Fall Class Schedule

President’s Message

OSA accepts credit cards

Fall is with us in earnest and OSA classes have begun. Har-old Walkup has rejoined us from his sabbatical in Spain, and Ruth Armitage's class has moved to Thursdays. Janet Parker and

Brenda Boylan are back for Fall sessions, as well are the rest of our excellent instructors. Check it all out on the class schedule. You will also find several exciting workshops this Fall.

Our Fall Juried show last month was a great suc-cess, with 97 outstanding works displayed. Con-gratulations to all prize winners! Thank you to par-ticipants, volunteers and Sarah Sedwick, our juror, for helping to make it a success.

Please come and enjoy our Teacher and Student show in October. This is your opportunity to see what our instructors are teaching, as well as an op-portunity for our students to show their growth and expertise in their chosen mediums.

The November 200 for under $200 show is shap-ing up to be extraordinary. The boards have been sold out since mid-September, and our chair has worked long and hard to provide all that is neces-sary to make this the best one yet. This year’s re-ception will be on Friday, November 6th, and we will have prizes, awards, food galore, and live mu-sic provided by the Raphael Spiro String Quartet. Mark your calendars.

Lastly, I would like to let you know that our nomi-nation committee has begun its yearly function of preparing the nominations for next year's Board of Director's slate. If you have any interest in serving OSA, or have a name you would like to put forth for nomination, please contact me.

As always, enjoy your art.Mary Holt, President
