The Narra Tree ( Pterocarpus indicus ) Narra is the national tree of the Philippines that grows all over the country, especially in Bicol, Mindanao and Kagayan valley forest. It is strong and shady and most wanted wood for furniture because of its hardness. Roots- roots absorbs water and minerals from the soil, it holds the plant in place Trunk- the trunk is the main stem of the tree and it transfer the water and minerals to the leaves Branches - part of a stem growing towards different directions which help to supply food and water to leaves and flowers Leaves- manufacture foods for the plant the the Xylem transfer the water there in the leaves and the Phloem transfer sugar from to the outside of the leaves Parts of the plant Roots Trunk Branches Leaves

Habitat- grows in a very wide range in soils, attaining its best development in deep, fertile, loamy alluvial soils

Humidity- The Narra Tree is adapted to the subtropical and tropical humid lowlands

Amount of precipitation- It like environments with summer, bimodal, and uniform rainfall patterns
