Change is a constant in life, and it is

only through this change that we can

grow and be better in all that we do.

This year we have purposed to leap

into the digital age of learning.

We have therefore embarked

on a progressive upgrade of all

our school facilities to meet the

challenge of the new learning

East Africa Games: 2019

OERB Post, August 2019 Junior High

This year’s games were held in Arusha - Tanzania from 16th to 24th August 2019.

Oshwal was represented in two racquet games, badminton and table tennis.

The school was represented by the following students in the respective sports.

Badminton - Harshal Maradia, Bhavya Shah, Mudit Srivastava and Shivani Shah

Table Tennis - Zayan Pema, Harshul Thacker and Kunal Arora.

The games were played using the Thomas and Uber format where the boys’

badminton team emerged as Bronze medallists whereas the girls’ team were silver

medallists out of 6 teams. This was an improvement from last year’s games which

were held in Rwanda.

It was tough luck for the Table Tennis boys’ team who played as second Kenyan

team and were ranked 5th overall out of 8 teams from all over East Africa.

We congratulate all the participants and their coaches.

ACCA Africa’s Learning Providers’ Conference 2019 in Kigali, Rwanda

Field Trip to Hell’s Gate

On 10th & 11th June 2019, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) held the annual Africa Learning Provider’s Conference in Kigali, Rwanda. The theme of the event “Developing together-focus on partnership” mainly focused on: the role of partnerships in embedding the changes to the ACCA qualifications, the changing world of work, harnessing the power of a customer’s voice and effective course management among other key topics. Oshwal College was represented by Mr Jabes Kotieno- Student Advisor and Mr Anthony Maina- Head of

Accounting and Finance Department. Apart from creating new connections and learning from experts, the participants also got an opportunity to contribute their voice towards shaping the ACCA qualifications.

On 26th July 2019, Oshwal College students visited Hell’s Gate National Park in Naivasha. Located some 90 kilometres North West of Nairobi, the park is popular for its savannah

ecosystem and wide variety of wildlife. Students took part in hiking, rock climbing, bird watching, cycling, and wildlife viewing among other fun-filled activities.

In addition to discovering pristine nature and bonding with each other, the students came back refreshed and ready to learn.
