In the Liturgical Calendar this year, Advent is

not a full four weeks long. Since the Fourth

Sunday of Advent falls on Christmas Eve,

Sunday, December 24th, Advent is actually only

three weeks. Amid the various Holiday activities

of this Christmas season, and all of the hustle and

bustle we inflict upon ourselves, please do not

forget the real meaning of this most Holy Day. Make time to truly celebrate the birth of Our

Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Rosary.

A. The five joyful mysteries of the Rosary

are:

Gabriel telling the Blessed Virgin

that she is to be the Mother of God;

2. The Visitation -- the Blessed

Virgin goes to visit her cousin, St.

Elizabeth, the mother of St. John the

Baptist;

3. The Nativity, or birth, of Our

Lord;

4. The Presentation of the Child

Jesus in the temple -- His parents

offered Him to God;

5. The finding of the Child Jesus in

the temple -- His parents had lost

Him in Jerusalem for three days.
