BAPTIST BUILD 2017

Marshall Johnson is our Church Coordinator for this year’s Baptist Build Project, which continues this month. 20 Baptist churches are working together to build a home for Billy and Mary McKeithan!

Ephesus Work Day #2— Saturday 3/4

Remember, individuals and groups may also help on Thurs-days and Fridays—sign up at http://vhub.at/baptistbuild2017). Baptist Build Offering—we will be receiving contributions toward our church’s commitment of financial sup-port for the Baptist Build project throughout this month. Make checks payable to Ephesus Baptist Church and memo Baptist Build.

Where would this church be without the many wom-en who lead and serve so very faithfully and in un-countable ways? The answer is so obvious it defies words! Ephesus Baptist Church believes in and affirms women in all levels of ministry and leadership. The truth is, leadership is service, or ministry, so anyone who is qualified and called may lead. And what are those qualifications? They’re the same for both men and women—spiritual gifts, spiritual and emotional maturity, and calling (Romans 12:1-8; 16:1-15; 1 Timothy 3:1-13; 1 Corinthians 12 & 13). I could ask the above question another way—where would Greg be without Godly women in my life? Who taught me the Bible throughout my childhood into my teen years, impacted my life deeply in Vaca-tion Bible School, enabled me to catch their conta-gious love for music and Jesus in children’s and youth choirs, and then mentored me in my young adult years? Women! And I would be nowhere for sure without the love, care, guidance, and encour-agement of both a loving wife and a mother who love the Lord more than they do me! So, on Sunday, March 19, we will have an oppor-tunity to celebrate the many wonderful ways God has blessed this church through the lives and minis-tries of women! Our Women’s Missionary Union cir-cles will share some of what they’ve been doing this past year and what they’re praying about doing in 2017. The choir will be made up entirely of women. Then, Rachel White, granddaughter of Sandra and Gerald Lampley will preach. In addition, we will offer one more day for anyone who wishes to contribute to the February Heck-Jones Offering to support WMU in North Carolina (Amy Boone, former EBC Minister of Music is WMU/NC Director). Thank God for the women of Ephesus!

Baptists On Mission Rebuild

Day Trips each Tuesday The shift has been made from tearing out flood damaged material from homes to the long term project of helping people rebuild their homes and lives. We are now going each week to help in Lumberton. The van leaves the church campus at 6:30 am, stops along the way at Bojangles, and returns that evening, time depending on a supper stop. For more information contact John Bentley at 919-280-6159 or Ken Cook at 919-796-8716. This is a wonderful opportunity to join in Kingdom work as we seek to be witnesses for Christ in our Judea (Acts 1:8).

Now available for checkout in your church library!

The anchor of The O’Reilly Factor details the events leading up to the murder of the most influential man in history: Jesus of Nazareth. Nearly 2,000 years after this be-loved and controversial young rev-olutionary was brutally killed by Roman soldiers, more than 2.2 bil-lion human beings attempt to fol-low his teachings and believe he is God.
