THE JAMES AGENCY NAMED AGENCY OF RECORD FOR MARYLAND’S NATIONAL HARBOR New partnership takes Scottsdale firm bi-coastal SCOTTSDALE, ARIZ. (FEBRUARY 4, 2019) – The National Harbor Owners Association (NHOA) and National Harbor Convention and Visitors Association (NHCVA) has tapped Scottsdale-based The James Agency (TJA) as the advertising agency of record for National Harbor, the Maryland development covering more than 350 acres. National Harbor includes the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center, MGM National Harbor, Tanger Outlets, the Waterfront District, restaurants, hotels, shops and private residences. TJA, an integrated advertising, public relations and digital marketing firm, will lead brand development, website coding and redesign, email and content marketing, social media and media strategy for National Harbor, which sits on the Potomac River 15 minutes south of Washington, D.C. The development employs more than 7,000 in the Washington area, and is a hot spot for meetings and conventions, while 160 retailers draw a large number of visitors from the Washington, Maryland and Virginia area. “Our team’s priority is to strengthen National Harbor’s position as a leisure and meetings destination in the D.C. area,” said Veronique James, CEO of The James Agency. “We are honored and excited to have been selected for this account because it encompasses all the verticals we specialize in – live, stay, eat and play focused lifestyle brands.” Founded in 2005 by James, TJA specializes in working with hospitality, restaurant, real estate and experiential brands.
