The International Legal Alliance Summit & Awards 2010 Paris, June 7, 2010

On the 3rd of June 2010 the International Legal Alliance Summit & Awards gathered 500 lawyers, managing partners, general counsels, leading professionals from the legal field from over 40 countries for one to one meetings and to celebrate the best independent performing firms. The event was organized by Leaders League in conjunction with its partners: Practical Law Company, Association of Corporate Counsel (Europe), the Canadian Corporate Counsel Association, Licensing Executive Society, the European Company Lawyers Association, the European Lawyer, Magazine Decideurs, the International Council of Jurists, Global Turnaround, All India Bar Association, Global Turnaround, INSOL Europe, Cercle Montesquieu, Cercle Godel, and the French in‐house counsel association. Leaders League is a French independent information provider with offices in Paris and New York. Its main three fields of expertise are Law, Finance and Strategy. While a long time French reference through Magazine Decideurs it operates internationally through Intelligence reports and international prestigious events. The Awards Ceremony on June 3rd recognized the best independent law firms for 28 categories from their domestic markets and countries. The process to elect the best firms began 6 months prior to the event and engaged a panel of 98 jury members composed of exclusively active general counsels with extensive expertise in the concerned markets and countries. The nomination process was based on suggestions made by the jury and international rankings. In order to establish the winner of the Golden Award, the nominated firms filled in a submission document that was presented to the jury that noted the firms and decided the winner. Both submission and participation of the nominated firms has been free of charge in order to ensure a maximum objectivity to the process.
