The importance of mobile/traveling archaeological exhibitions in promotion of

archaeological cultural heritage

Visitors are very interested for archaeological cultural heritage

More than 50% of population from the each place visited the exhibition

Visitors want unofficial and easy accessed place

CONCLUDION

It’s not necessary to have specific advertising and announcement. The mobile container and its location are attractive and provocative enough.

Citizens was curios and they wanted ‘’ to see what’s going on’’.

Attractiveness of material and exhibition itself fascinate the visitors.

Two important elements are:1. Direct contact with archaeological

material. Visitors were able to touch objects, and some of them to hold in hands. It was unique opportunity to express antique world directly in their hands.

2. Direct communication with visitors through ‘’ living word’’, without legends and inscriptions. Actively involve visitors in whole story. For the most of them this was first direct contact with archaeology.

The best promotion of exhibition was through visitors. We give them some promotional material: leaflets, brochures, postcards and replicas. So they spread the story away.

The exhibition had a lot of space in printed and electronic media.
