Ennismore is a London-based developer and operator

of unique properties and experiences.

Ennismore currently operates The Hoxton, a series of

neighbourhood hotels with its origins in Shoreditch,

East London. The group has recently expanded with the

opening of Hoxton Holborn in September 2014 and is

on an exciting journey, with planned openings in great

cities including Amsterdam, Paris and New York.

The Hoxton group is already committed to projects

with a gross development value of over $500m and

is continuing to look for opportunities in new and

exciting neighbourhoods.

Background // The Hoxton

—

The Hoxton started doing things differently on the East

London scene back in 2006 when the first hotel opened in

Shoreditch. Back then we were labelled the "no bull shit" hotel,

because we took away all the annoyances associated with

traditional hotels - no expensive mini-bars, no high rate phone

calls and no paid-for internet. We became the anti-hotel. Today

we’ve evolved, but the "no rip-off" policy is still very much at

the heart of everything we do.

We were never about offering just a bed for the night; we

wanted to be more than that, providing a place where people

could eat, drink, work and play at any time of day. We curate

amazing events inspired by the local area, working with our

neighbours to showcase the good and the great of the cities

we form part of. We've also got restaurants, bars and retail

operations (run in partnership with the Soho House Group).

Following the early success of our first venture we are now

building other Hoxton hotels around the world, finding new

and exciting neighbourhoods to open our doors in. All of our

hotels are designed to feel different, inspired by the buildings

they inhabit and the neighbourhoods they are part of.

The Hoxton Group, is on the hunt for new opportunities in great

international gateway cities. We are flexible in our approach and will

consider partnerships, management agreements, outright purchases

and leases. We will consider all types of building no matter how quirky.

This building, a former BT Telephone Exchange, has been transformed to provide 174 rooms, a Brooklyn-inspired eatery (Hubbard & Bell), a basement chicken den (Chicken Shop), nail bar (Cheeky Parlour), and an artesian coffee house (Holborn Grind). In addition we have six meeting rooms in The Apartment. Hoxton Holborn is our second hotel opening and is already helping to re-define this mid-town location.

planned mid 2015

Made up of a group of five canal houses and situated in the heart of Amsterdam’s canal ring, this stunning property has a fascinating history. Dating from the early 17th century, a former residential townhouse which was home to the Mayor of Amsterdam. The site became the much loved Rembrandt Classic hotel in 1975.

Construction is currently underway to convert the buildings into our first Hoxton hotel outside the UK – The Hoxton, Amsterdam. Expect multiple bars, a restaurant and exciting retail experiences.

Originally the site of the Rosenwach factory that crafted the iconic wooden water towers which today can be seen across the skyline of Manhattan. In late 2016 it will become the first American outpost of The Hoxton. We chose Williamsburg because it embodies all that The Hoxton loves in an eclectic and vibrant neighbourhood, full of interesting characters, with a fascinating industrial past but very much a creative present.

planned late 2016

Our property in Paris is situated in the 2nd Arrondissement, an area gaining a reputation for its alternative café culture, hip bars and restaurants. The property is of historical importance dating from the 16th Century and constructed by Etienne Rivie, counsellor to King Louis XIV. This is set to be a landmark opening on the Parisian hotel scene.
