The Hawaii Venture Capital Summit How to Raise Follow-on Funding in Regional Markets

Aloha and Welcome to the Hawaii Venture Capital Summit How to Raise Follow-on Funding in Regional Markets We are pleased you can participate in this timely conference. Regional communities such as Hawaii suffer from a scarcity of follow on venture capital to allow start-up companies to continue their growth. Many of Hawaii's most promising companies must eventually seek venture capital outside the state. The Hawaii Venture Capital Summit is designed to address the issues, challenges and best practices for being successful in securing follow on venture funding on the mainland. The conference topics of discussion should assist entrepreneurs, economic development practitioners, professionals who advise businesses, and local angel investors. The Hawaii Venture Capital Summit is an educational forum, held in two parts. First, a series of mainland and Hawaii expert panelists will speak on a variety of topics related to follow-on financing. Second, there will be an opportunity for pre-selected local entrepreneurs to pitch in front of a panel of experts with the audience observing. The networking pau hana session at the end of the summit will provide an opportunity for the Hawaii entrepreneurial community to get to know the mainland VCs right in their own back yard, and to showcase the diverse talent that Hawaii has to offer. We hope this will be a productive and enjoyable day for you. Aloha, The Hawaii Venture Capital Summit Organizers
