I like the textures I have made for my background and I think it works well with the hand because they are all similar tones. However, I think as the colour scheme is quite limited for this piece, it doesn’t give a real sense of imagination and this is a must for my final design. Although I think the use of the butterflies coming away from the pencil adds a sense of imagination because it could represent that the act of drawing is being expressive and freeing the imagination from the mind.

I think the glowing effect around the text helps the composition flow better. I also think the added layer where I have added green creates more depth to the piece and I think it creates a focal point in the centre of the page because it works well as a frame. However I think the main text that says “The Art Group” gets a bit lost towards the right hand side of the piece as it gets quite dark. I think to improve this I should either use a lighter shade of green for the frame, or perhaps try and different colour.
