WHO WE ARE

The Hamilton Group was started by two plumbers, with a combined experience in the

trade of over 20 years, initially as a plumbing & heating company. We have now

evolved, over the last 4 years, to offer plumbing, heating, gas, electrical, drainage,

painting and high-end bathroom fitting services (All detailed further below). Our aim is to

be the “go-to” property maintenance & refurbishment company for the high-end

residential property market in London.

WHY CHOOSE US

Henry Ford said “Quality means doing things right, even when no one is looking”.

This is an ethos we live by at The Hamilton Group. Nothing is more important to us

than delivering the highest quality workmanship we can, on every job do. Quality is the

only thing that matters. Quality means happy customers, and happy customers grow

businesses. We formed the company to raise industry standards as we believe the

property maintenance industry is failing the people of London, through its relaxed

ways of qualifying tradesmen, and its toleration of hit-and-run business practices.

It’s time for greater standards of workmanship & customer service, and we believe

we can make those changes. We employ ‘craftsmen’, and not simply tradesmen.

People who are truly passionate about the work they do, and who are constantly trying

to better themselves and their craft. We currently work for several property managers

and through meetings with them we have identified a few common requirements:

Providing complete peace of mind – you want to be able to pick up the phone,

pass that problem on to us, and know that it’s going get taken care of.

Dealing with tenants directly in terms of arranging access / keys / times.

Constantly keep you updated as to the progress of the job.

Provide detailed feedback on completed jobs, along with before & after

photos Send out reminders – gas safety certificates / boiler services / EICR’s

are due.

Make sure keys ,along with certificates etc, are returned same day.

Honesty and Communication are the keys to a good working relationship

between tradesmen and property managers

Ideally we’d like to meet with your property managers, to discuss your specific

requirements, so that we can best serve you. We are a service business after all, and

that’s what we’re here for.The subsequent pages go into more detail about the

services we provide, the qualifications and experience that we have.

Plumbing (24/7)As mentioned above, the company was started by plumbers and plumbing remains the

core of our business to this day. We know what to look for in a good plumber,

experience and attitude wise, and over the past 4 years we’ve been trading, we have

constantly improved our hiring process (and will keep doing so). Presently we have a

great team of plumbers on board, some who have been with us for years now and will

hopefully be with us for years to come too. All our plumbers have to have their NVQ 2

& 3 plumbing qualifications, as well a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the trade. We

have plumbers on call 24/7 and we can assist you with everything from

Finding and fixing leaks

Repairing & replacing taps, toilets, sinks, showers etc

Unblocking internal drains (Larger blockages can get escalated to our ‘Drainage’

division) Washing machine & dishwasher installations

Upgrading cold water mains (Thames Water approved

contractors) Saniflo or macerator repairs / replacements

Water softener installation

Waste disposal unit installations

Basically anything that has water running through it

Central Heating, Boilers & Gas (24/7)Another of our core services, we have heating engineers on-call 24/7, all of whom

have over 5 years in the trade (As a minimum), are Gas Safe qualified and have their

G3 Unvented Cylinders certificates too. We do in house boiler training and discuss

issues & jobs etc every week in our engineers meeting, so everyone can learn and

better themselves every week. We can assist with:

Electrics & LightingOur electrical division is headed up by Richard Jackson, with over 20 years’ experi-

ence in the trade, there’s no electrical problems Richard, and his team, haven’t

encountered. From fixing a faulty light switch to full electrical inspections and

rewires. Our friendly team of electricians are here to help. The electrical division is still

growing, is currently not 24/7, but we are building on that and will be 24/7 soon. Our

electricians are usually available Mon – Sat anyway, and can help with

everything from:

DrainageWe have team of drainage engineer’s on-call 24/7 and can unblock any drains within a

residential or commercial property. From the gutters & downpipes, to the toilets

& kitchen sinks, to the manhole in the street. We have a drain jetting machine that can

be used to not only clear blockages but periodically clean and de-scale drains & stacks

too. There’s not much we haven’t seen over the years and we’ve gained valu- able

Central London experience ( Where the drains can be quite complicated ), to quickly

identify and clear blocked drains quickly and effectively and with minimal disruption to

the customer. We clear 9/10 drains within the first hour. Our experi- enced drainage

engineers can help with:

Blocked drains, stacks and downpipes

Blocked toilets / sinks / basins / baths

etc Drain clearance

Drain cleaning

Periodic planned maintenance

CCTV drain surveys

Painting & DecoratingWe have a specialist team of painters & decorators on board, headed up by Kamil

Laba, who has over 15 years in the trade. A perfectionist by nature, he believes the

secret to a great painting job, lies in the preparation. We do quite a few

‘end-of-tenancy’ type jobs for several agencies already - where the tenants have

moved out and the landlord wants to freshen up the place before the new tenants

move in. We also do a fair bit of communal area makeovers / facelifts, in larger

blocks where most of the apartments are owner managed but the communal

spaces need repainting every few years. Our decorators cover all aspects of interior and

exterior painting and decorating including:

Interior and exterior painting

Wall paper hanging – everything from lining paper to wide contract vinyls, to

designer wall papers.

Wood finishes – interior and exterior joinery stained and varnished in a variety of

colours and finishes. Colours matched to existing joinery.

Plastering – alongside our decorating services we also offer a plastering service.

From repairs right through to new plasterboard ceilings or walls and ceilings

skimmed prior to decoration.

BathroomsWe specialise in high-end bathroom, wetroom and steam room fitting, week in and

week out , and are very proud to say that we are one of the few CP Hart approved

bathroom fitters in London. We have a great team of bathroom fitters onboard,

headed up Mariusz Semuniuk, a true “craftsman”, he has been creating luxury bath-

rooms for us, for nearly 4 years now. Another asset to the company is our project

manager Josh Perkin, who oversees every bathroom we do, as well as the larger

decorating jobs we do too. He is the single point of contact for all customers on

larger refurb type jobs and makes sure every refurbishment we do, is delivered to

clients' satisfaction.

RatesWe DO NOT charge a call-out fee, but we do charge a min of 1 hours labour, thereaf-

ter we charge per half hour (So we won’t charge you for a full second hour, if we're

only there for an hour and 20 minutes). All prices listed below are exclusive of VAT.

Drainage work is priced based on having 2 engineers on site to man the jetter, and we

typically don’t need a lot longer than one hour to clear a drain, unless it’s some- thing

major.For periodic drain clearances, for large blocks / building, we can go round

and do a site survey and provide you with a quote for the work.

Decorating work is usually doing based on a quote, usually we’d come out to the

property and assess everything and give you an estimate.

Insurances

We have Public Liability Insurance of up £10 mill and Employers Liability Insur-

ance of up to £5 mill. These can be sent over upon request.
