The Pantheon

Since the world was created there have been 21 gods that have governed the world

of Krynn. Seven for each of the three alignments. At the dawn of time there was

also another more powerful god, and there has always been the one whom createdthem all.

In the Age of Mortals, the pantheon has been altered dramatically. wo chief gods

were cast down from the heavens, in order to maintain the balance between good

and evil.

he gods are worshipped in every part of Krynn. In some regions, only certain gods

are recogni!ed and worshipped. he deities have many names by which they are

"nown by the various peoples. All have vast amounts of power, and all are to be

treated carefully. he anger of a god is a terrible thing.

Gods of the Light

Majere

Ma#ere is the god of meditation, faith, thought and the mind. $e wor"s to restore

the faith in the good gods. In the past he was always "nown as %aladine&s advisor,

however now he wor"s closely with Misha"al in order to further enlightment and

goodness in the world. Ma#ere has few followers, those few who follow him are

chie'y good(aligned mon"s. $is avatar is that of a bald ) blind man*woman who

possesses the ability to ma"e those around him unnerved if they are not truthful to

themselves.

Some of the names he is "nown by are+ Master of Mind, Mantis of the ose, Matheri,

and -adir the reamsender.

Kiri-Jolith

Kiri(/olith is the god of heroism, courage, war and battle. $e is the eldest son of

%aladine and the most aggressive god of good. $e punishes wrongdoings and

protects the innocent, he see"s to battle directly all that is evil. Kiri(/olith is the

patron of the Knights of the Sword. $is main avatar is that of an all(powerful warrior,

either minotaur or human. $is followers include Knights of the Sword, good(aligned

minotaurs, and generally warriors of any race of good alignment.

Some of the names that Kiri(/olith is "nown by are+ Sword of /ustice, 0mperor,

Kargath, ori#, and Ki#o the lade.

Mishakal

Misha"al is the goddess of healing and was the consort of %aladine. After the

cataclysm, it was Misha"al that was responsible for the return of the rue 3ods. She

aided iverwind in his 4uest for the sta5 and appeared to 3oldmoon to aid in the

4uest for the is"s of Misha"al. $er avatar is that of a beautiful young woman, who

wears a robe and carries a blue crystal sta5. $er followers are generally clerics of

good alignment, who heal those in need freely, without usually ever as"ing for anycompensation.

Some of the names she is "nown by are+ $ealing $and, Mesala6, 7uen Illumini,

Mishas, 0mpress, Ka(Mel(Sha, and 0lir(Sana.

Habbakuk

$abba"u" is the god of the creatures of land and sea. $e is the second son of

%aladine and is the patron of the Knights of the rown. $e is often unpredictable

and see"s to heal the land and those that are su5ering. $is avatar is often that of a

giant blue dolphin. $is followers are the Knights of the rown, druids, and some of

the faerie(fol". $abba"u"&s druids and clerical followers live to protect nature from

those who would destroy it.

Some of the names by which $abbu"u" is "nown by are+ 8isher King, he lue

%hoeni6, Sea 9ord, a"iris, and S"ylord.

Branchala

ranchala is the god of music. uring the creation of the :rst creatures of Krynn, he

#ourneyed with $abba"u" and instilled song and harmony in their souls. $e loves

merriment and dance, preferring to mingle with people, rather than simply be

worshipped. $is avatar is that of a simple traveler who is of the race that he is

visiting at the time. $is followers include elves and "ender, to these races he is one

of the chief gods.

A few of his many names include+ Song of 9ife, 3ardener, Songmaster, Astra, ran,

and ardilun.

Solinari

Solinari is the god of good magic. ;ith 9unitari and -uitari, he founded the three

orders of magic. $e is tied to Krynn and to magic. $e grants his magic to those who

will defend Krynn in the ;hite obes. $is avatar is that of a white(robed mage. $isfollowers include wi!ards of the white robes.

3ilean is the hief 3od of -eutrality and the guardian of the obril ne, and the ;ilds.

Sirrion

Sirrion is the god of :re. $e controls every 'ame on Krynn, including the sun. And

attempts to ma"e :re as beautiful as he can. $e is the consort of Shinare. $is avatar

is that of a man with 'aming hair who carries a huge 'aming sword. $is followers

are few as he is a little "nown god. he few who follow him are those with a love for

:re, and "nown to run apothecaries or to dabble in the mystical arts.

Some of Sirrion&s names include+ he ;i!ard, 8iremaster, and the Alchemist.

#i"ilyn

@ivilyn is the god of wisdom. $e can see into all times and wor"s closely with

3ilean, since wisdom and "nowledge go hand in hand. $is avatar is that of a

balding, bearded man who carries a wooden sta5. >ne loo" into his eyes shows a

person their future and death. $is followers are, li"e 3ilean, scholars and aesthetics.

Some of his titles include+ ;ise >ne, ree of 9ife, and the ;orld ree.

Lunitari

9unitari is the god of neutral magic. She founded the ed obed >rder of Magic and

wor"s closely with Solinari and -uitari to restore magic to Krynn. $er avatar is a red(

robed female mage who carries ruby red darts as a weapon. $er followers are ed

obed wi!ards.

Some of 9unitari&s names include+ Maid of Illusion, ?eiled Maiden, -ight andle,

9uin, and ed(0ye.

Gods of $arkness

Sargonnas

Sargonnas is the god of vengeance, intrigue and destruction. $e plots against

everyone for his own gain, including his former consort a"hisis. $e once sought to

overthrow a"hisis and become the chief god of evil. It is strongly believed that he

has now attained that goal. $is avatar is either a red condor, an all(powerful warrior

of minotaur*human origins, or a :re elemental. $is followers are generally the

minotaurs, for whom he is the chief god.

Sargonnas& many names include+ Sargas the estroyer, Misal(9asim, Sargona6 the

ender, and Kinthalas.

Hiddukel

$iddu"el is the god of corrupt business. $e often deals in the trading of souls, he

will get a soul in return for providing wealth and treasure to someone. hose that

deal with him, almost always lose their lives 4uic"ly. >n one occasion he even

tric"ed the chief goddess of evil, a"hisis, and had a tryst with her, convincing

a"hisis that he was actually hemosh

avatar is generally an obese man that avoids physical combat. $is followers are

generally businessmen and merchants.

Some of his names include+ $ilta6 the 8law, etrayer, M&8istos, s"(o, and the

%rince of 9ies.

#eboi%

@eboim is the 3oddess of the Sea. She is very temperamental and :c"le, and see"s

to con4uer the seas and her main rival $abba"u". In the past, @eboim would never

go against the wishes of her mother, a"hisis, but thin"s little of her father,

Sargonnas. $er avatar is a giant sea turtle with the face of a human female. $er

followers are few, and are generally only the undead that roam the sea, or evil(

aligned sea elves, "oalinths and pirates.

Some of her titles include+ Maelstrom, ar"ling Sea, he!omia6, @ebyr /otun, and

ann.

!he%osh

hemosh is the god of the dead. $e constantly recruited corpses to wor" for his and

a"hisis& undead armies previously, however now he wor"s for himself and for

Sargonnas. $e wor"s to corrupt all beings, living and dead, and o5ers false promises

of immortality to those who will be his followers. $is avatar is either a young human

male in a blac" robe, or a lich in :ne clothes. $is followers are generally the undead,

and mortals with a love for death or a lust for immortality.

Some of hemosh&s titles are+ Aeleth, 9ord of eath, Khema6, 9ifebane, ron of the

eep, >r"rust, and hemos /oton.

Morgion

Morgion is the god of disease, decay and plague. $e always wor"s in complete

secrecy and does not wor" with any other god. $e see"s to sabotage Misha"al&s

healing arts and to corrupt all. $is avatar is either a blac" hooded e6ecutioner or a

thic", blac" cloud with red eyes. $is followers are assassins, priests of evil

alignment and other lowlifes, who only meet in secret and live their lives in the

shadows.

Some of his titles are+ Morga6 the ustlord, lac" ;ind, %estilence, Anthra6

3oatlord, and $&rar.

Nuitari

-uitari is the god of evil magic. $e founded the lac" obed >rder of Magic. ;ith

9unitari and Solinari he wor"s to increase magic on Krynn. -uitari privately see"s for

all magic to be blac" magic on Krynn. $is avatar is either that of a wic"ed child or a

blac" robed wi!ard. $is followers are blac"(robed wi!ards.

&ther Gods

'he Highgod

he $ighgod is the creator of Krynn, the gods and almost everything else. he

$ighgod came when there was naught but the void. his omnipotent being

fashioned a beautiful new world and also gods to govern over this world. he

$ighgod guided his godlings in the new world and then left it in their hands. >nce

Krynn was completed, the $ighgod withdrew from the world, and watched his

creations from afar. he $ighgod has no avatars, since he never appears in the

mortal realm. he $ighgod also has practically no followers, since almost no(one

"nows of his*her e6istence, e6cept for the gods themselves. ;ith the wanderings of

?althonis, it seems possible that more may be discovered about this great entity.

he $ighgod loves creation, and the only time he*she would ever ta"e an active role

upon Krynn, would be to prevent it&s :nal destruction.

Some of the other "nown names for the $ighgod are+ S"y(8ather, 3reat 3od, All(

8ather.

(onthas

Ionthas was once the chief servant of the $ighgod, and the most powerful amongst

the gods. $owever his pride made him haughty towards the other gods and they

wor"ed against him as he sought to dominate Krynn. $e was beaten by the

combined e5orts of the gods and forsoo" them and even his name. $e chose the

name of haos and slowly fell into insanity as he was cast beyond creation by the

$ighgod. %art of his essence was later captured by eor6 in the 3reygem, and

haos himself soon found himself imprisoned within the gem for a long time. uring

the Summer of haos, he was freed inadvertantly by the Irda, and rampaged with

his newly formed armies across the face of Krynn. >n the verge of total dominance

he was beaten by the combined e5orts of the gods and of mortals. Ionthas was

banished from the world for the rest of time.

$is other names include+ he 8ather of All ) -othing, haos.

Gorth

3orth is a mysterious being that has been "nown to appear to ogres and half(ogres

in the on4uered 9ands region of aladas. It is un"nown whether 3orth is merely an

avatar of one of the gods, however it has never alluded to being so. >r whether

3orth is a minor deity, "nown only to the ogres in this area. 3orth has the ability to

grant spells, albeit they are unpredictable, and can be useless or e6tremely

powerful at random. %ractically nothing else is "nown about this mysterious being.

'he )our $argonesti Gods

he four gods of the argonesti are thought to be four elves, whom were made into

minor deities, for services rendered in Krynn&s ancient past. hey are "nown only

amongst the sea elves, and are only minor deities amongst even them. $aba""u" is

the sea elves ma#or deity, followed by Kiri(/olith. $owever the four argonesti godsstill have groups of loyal followers.

aidlin is the argonesti goddess of sea 'ora and fauna. $er symbol is that of a

golden anemone. She is often called upon when :sh hunters go out on e6peditions,

and all sorts of feasts and services are held in her honor when the argonesti plant

or harvest any crops. $er avatar is that of a plain loo"ing elf, with marine life

circling her head. She grants her priests druidic powers, and is "nown to be closely

associated with fervently good gods such as Kiri(/olith.

Kailthis the eautiful is the argonesti goddess of love and procreation. $er symbol

is that of an ama!ingly beautiful mermaid. She is worshipped during weddings,

births and courtships. Sacri:ces are made to her in the forms of love poems and sea

'owers. $er avatar is that of an e6tremely beautiful argonesti, and she is also

closely lin"ed to fervently good gods.

umar4 is the argonesti god of tradesman and handicrafts. $is symbol is a hermit

crab. umar4 is worshipped by tradesman and is the only argonesti god, "nown

outside of the sea elves realm. $e is worshipped by a small group of gnomes in the

Spire Mountains of aladas. Sacri:ces are made to umar4 in the forms of small

models of e4uipment. umar4&s avatar is that of a muscular argonesti with nimble

:ngers and dressed as a white(robed mage.

andoril&thi is the argonesti god of luc". $is symbol is the sea urchin. $e is usually

not worshipped widely amongst the argonesti, since he is not very popular. $e

somehow gained the power to grant his clerics the ability to cast spells from any

sphere of magic. andoril&thi clerics would naturally be e6tremely powerful, and the

few whom e6ist, do not admit to it. $is avatar is that of a small argonesti boy with

tousled green hair. $e loo"s and acts li"e street urchin, and is "nown to be

somewhat of a thief.

'he )allen Gods

*aladine

%aladine was the hief 3od of 3ood. $e led all the 3ods from eyond during the

Age of Starbirth, so that they could create Krynn, as shown by the $ighgod. uring

the creation, %aladine, 3ilean and a"hisis learnt to infuse chaos into creation with

form and purpose. %aladine fashioned the elves in his li"eness, as the creatures of

good. $e also fashioned the metallic dragons to :ght in his name. ;ith Kiri(/olith

and $aba""u" he helped ?inas Solamnus form the Knights of Solamnia, and was the

patron of the Knights of the ose. uring the ;ar of Souls, he sacri:ced his godhood

in order to stop the schemings of a"hisis. $e now travels the world of Krynn as a

mortal, in the form of an elf "nown as ?althonis. $is avatar was that of 8i!ban, a

befuddled old wi!ard. $is followers included Knights of the ose, lerics of 3ood

alignment, and many other darn nice fol".

$is other names included+ %latinum ragon, ah&Mut, ragonlord, 0&li, raco

%aladin, and ha" the $ammer.

'akhisis

a"hisis was the hief 3od of 0vil. uring creation she made the ogres in her image,

they were powerful, near(immortals, beautiful and worshipped evil gods, and

enslaved races wea"er than them. She also created the chromatic dragons by

twisting %aladine&s initial dragon creations. uring the Brd ragon ;ar she sought to

enter Krynn but was defeated by the Solamnic Knight $uma ragonbane and

banished to the Abyss. She later created draconians by perverting good dragon

eggs and lead the ragon $ighlords in con4uering Krynn. a"hisis also aided

Aria"an to found the Knights of a"hisis in order to attempt to con4uer Krynn again.

She was all that is evil and sought total domination of Krynn and of every creature

that resided in this world. uring the Summer of haos she orchestrated the

stealing of Krynn and shifting it to another part of the multiverse. She then posed as

the >ne 3od and sought to dominate the world as the only resident god. $er plans

were thwarted however, and the other gods removed the mantle of godhood from

her. She was made mortal and in that form she was "illed. a"hisis& body was carried

away by Mina, her :nal resting place is un"nown. $er avatar was that of a :ve

headed dragon or of a beautiful temptress. $er followers were almost pretty much

any follower of dar"ness, particularly the Knights of a"hisis.

Some of her many names were+ 9ady haos, She of the Many 8aces, 0restem,

7ueen of ar"ness, ame6 the 8alse Metal, Mwarg, ii&Mhut, and -ilat the orruptor.
