SYNOPSIS: Hidden away in the wetlands of the Southern Glades, surrounded by lush saw grass marshes and tangled mangrove forests, the supernatural come to life. Spawned from the greatest evil ever know, hellions begin to emerge and threaten the mundane as nightfall approaches. It has become the responsibility of the elite force of the Glades Guild to take down this evil and send the malignant spirits back to purgatory. Mia, orphaned at a young age, always sensed that there was something different about her, something that set her apart from the others. After the death of her parents, she was raised by Azail, the leader of a prominent secret society known as the Glades Guild. Since then her world has always been surrounded by arcane matters and unexplained mystery. The Glades Guild, a section of the secret societies that protect the human world from supernatural threats, is located in the Southern Glades. The Glades Guild holds their headquarters deep in the lush wetlands, a mysterious part of the south that not many know of. Members of the guild are the only ones who can navigate through the saw grass marshes that are crawling with wildlife that can, in a second, take your life should you lose sight of where you are going. Entangled mangroves cover the entrance to the stone wall building leading to the main house of the guild. A maze of branches must be navigated through carefully, as to not disturb any of the traps set to keep out intruders or those from other lands that may come to destroy the guild. The Glades is constructed of a group of hunters that hold a unique bloodline which allows them to inherit extraordinary abilities used to take down supernatural creatures that enter the Earth. The Glades Guild carries on traditions from their ancestors, to protect the world while it sleeps, never leaving a trace of the darkness that desires to be brought to light. For a split second the world seemed to stop as the horror of her own imagination manifested before her eyes. While out on a mission with her team, Mia encounters The Beast, the archfiend that ended her parents life leaving her to be raised by Azail so many years ago. Conquering the creature in a battle nearly ripped her soul apart. Mia and her team thought that the biggest threat had now been diminished. It is only to their surprise that Azail had more to reveal once they returned to The Glades.

The Glades have been tracking the King of Hellions since his name was first heard of so many years ago. The King is the main cause of every supernatural disturbance that has occurred over the last century. He has now emerged from the darkness after the death of The Beast, and with the number of hellions being created, it will take everything the Glades have trained for to defeat him before they lose everything they've fought to protect.

Mia soon discovers that it was the power of the Glade bloodline that gave her extra senses and abilities, which is what made her sense she was different all along. Born into the guild with abloodline that dates back to its roots and original creators, she among a select few must join together to defeat the King. Mia's natural gifts cannot be denied and she is given the chance to complete the greatest mission in guild history.

Azail begins to reveal Mia's true heritage. Mia is born of legend. Her bloodline dates back to the creators of the Glades Guild, and it was discovered that only those with the purest bloodline, would be able to defeat The King of Hellions. Each member of the guild with the pure bloodline was born with a special gift they must unlock. After discovering their unique skills, they must hone their ability and work together to defeat The King.

Overwhelmed by information and the new mission at hand, Mia, Azail, and the other pure bloods must now join together to fight in the biggest battle the Glades have ever seen.

GENRE/MARKET:

The Glades would be an open world, action role-playing video game ideally targeting the market of PC and XBOX/PlayStation console players. The game would also feature an extensive lore lending to the story and the game play.

PROTOTYPE/REFERENCE MATERIAL:

I would ideally like the game to be similar in a sense to Skyrim, The Elder Scrolls Online, and The Witcher. Those are a few of the games I enjoy playing and draw inspiration from.

The game Glades takes place in present day South Florida, but made up of fictional towns and locations. As the player you journey through the game as Mia, the main character, or you areable to create your own character that would take her place in the story. As a member of the prominent Glades Guild, you battle through swamps, caves and hidden lairs while learning more about this secret world and your role in it. The main streets are highlighted in the map, but you are able to venture off and take side quests in smaller towns and mysterious places throughout the map.

You begin in the Sanctuary, where the guilds main base is located. The Sanctuary consists of everything from combat training grounds, housing, armories, and special skilled based trainingrooms. You are given access to different vehicles that you my use to get around. You are able to explore the world in real time, but must travel to each location through the main roads or off roading if necessary. As you move through the game, the Glades Guild guides you to the main

quests. By completing these and gaining experience is how your character will be able to level up.Main quests consist of tasks that must be completed that then lead you to a creature or demon that must be vanquished. It is encourage to explore and discover new places.

Points of interest from map: 1. Sanctuary: The main location in the game where the Glades Guild is located. 2. Deering Bay: The area where your player begins the game, also your home town. The first few quests of the game will begin here. 3. Glades: Another main location where creatures and demons are mostly found. 4. Hellion Portal: Mid range quests will begin here as you discover where the hellions are spawning from. 5. Outer Banks: Hide out location you can go to when you have been compromised. Another area where main quests will be found.

MusicI am a big fan of video game soundtracks especially from those that I had drawn inspiration from for my game (i.e Skyrim, The Elder Scrolls Online, The Withcer). Unfotunately I was not able to attach the file itself, so I apologize for the invonvenience of having to click the link at the begining of the GDD. My ideal goal would be to incorporate engaging music that would emotionally tie into the games atmosphere.
