The full moon and the quarter moon

Once, the king of persia invited birbal to his country.Birbal was treated very well by the king and the

ministers of persia. they organized parties and gave him of gifts.

Just before he was coming back to india , a persian minister asked him the following question ‘’,who is

better - your king akbar or our king?

“your king is like the full moon, while my king is like the quarter moon .’’ said birbal. This answer made the persians very happy.

When birbal reached home , he found that akbar was very angry whith him .

.“How could you call me a quarter moon and

persian king a full moon ?’’ shouted Akbar.’’Don’t you have any respest for your own king?

‘’I was not showing you disrespect, ‘’said Birbal.

‘’The full moon becomes smaller and smaller, and finally , disappears; wherteas the quarter moon grows bigger and bigger. This means that your power, my dear king, is growing from day to day ; whereas that of the king of Persia is about to decline. ‘’

Akbar was happy to hear this and gave Birbal a warm hug.
