We have just over two weeks until the marathon is here, and one week until we need to stopselling tickets so Chef can work out the food portions. So if you know of someone who has beensaying that they want to go, tell them to bring their $25 this week.
If anyone asks about the prizes, tell them that each and every person who buys a ticket gets achance at winning any of the prizes. However, the ticket is only good once, to avoid one personwinning multiple times.
And remember, bring something comfortable to sit on and wear for this 13-hour event !

THE FORUM
What can I say?
I had said in the previous issue that “with 48 we
can dominate,” and we did. I’m proud of ever
person that went and competed, and choosing the
State Forum participants was a tough one.
The next thing on the horizon is the Lord of the
Rings marathon, and tickets are still for sale until
the 22nd, so spread the word to those who need
tickets.
Salvete!

Mr. Julius Caesar
The final quiz, which will chose the final three
contestants to take part in the Triumvirate finale,
will be on March 21st .
It has been a very close contest so far, and promises
to be an intense run up for the top three scores. It’s
nearly time to get the togas ready. The finale will
be on April 23rd , during 3rd period, and all students
will be welcome to attend.
Books can be found in our ever-expanding Classics
Collection in the Media Center.
-Mr. Earle
Yep, we took 1st
place!
However, who knows who
will be at State’s, so we need
to get a team ready for April.
If you want to become one of
the team, let Centurion Sean
Reilly or Mr. Earle know.
There’s a plan to put new
wheels, and also to re-rope
the main torsion arm with a
½” bungie shock cord, so get
ready to go past our 108 feet
marker.
Gratias!

State’s Team
It was very, VERY difficult to choose who went to State Forum this year. The decision was based on your Regional
score, what you medaled in, your level of Latin and your grade level, along with a few other factors.
That said, I wish I could have taken all 40 persons who were interested in going. It may be two months away, but
it will be here before you know it.
The list of the 25 selected to go to the 64th Annual Latin State Forum in Orlando on April 11th-13th are:
1. Bailey, Joanna

I will leave this up in the newsletters as a reminder,
especially as we get to the end of this school year, when
most people reserve a spot.
Call 1-888-310-7120, and have them look up my tour by
its name “Italy and Croatia” or by Earle2560.
