ExteriorElegant, stylish and charismatic, the Eos creates a lasting impression at the very first glance. And it’s not just the exterior that’s impressive either. Inside, the story is one of stylish design, high quality materials and a host of high specification features all fitted as standard, including sports seats, manual air conditioning and a leather trimmed three-spoke multifunction steering wheel. Combining the ultimate in comfort and innovation with striking design and elegant detail, the Eos makes every journey one of luxury, excitement and sheer driving pleasure.

01 The front of the Eos is unmistakably Volkswagen, yet thanks to the distinctive grille with chrome detailing and headlights with permanent running lights, it retains its own distinctive character. A sculpted bumper with a large air intake and front fog lights with chrome surround gives it wide, powerful features, enhancing the overall look. Model shown features optional Bi-xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights and headlight washers.

02 Two-piece rear lights incorporating 3D LED technology give the Eos a distinctive and stylish look at the back, not only emphasising the strong rear bodylines, but also producing clear, bright illumination. Indicator and brake lights also benefit from LED technology, ensuring they can easily be seen even in bright daylight, enhancing safety for vehicle occupants and other road users.

03 The front fog lights with static cornering function illuminate when turning at low speeds to provide improved visibility. Its chrome trimmed surround adds a striking look to the front of the vehicle and also provides additional safety in bad weather or in poor visibility.

04 Rear parking sensors assist in parking manoeuvres by emitting an audible warning alerting the driver to any obstacles in the way: the closer you are to an obstacle the faster the sound frequency. An optical parking display via the vehicle’s audio display is also a handy addition.

05 The body-coloured door mirrors with integrated indicators utilise LED technology and feature a one-touch operation to provide added safety when overtaking.

06 The electric slide/tilt glass sunroof can be tilted upwards by 35 millimetres, letting light and fresh air into the passenger compartment regardless of the weather. Tinted glass provides protection against the sun, and if you’d like more fresh air, the sunroof slides open towards the rear. Image shown features optional leather upholstery.

07 Controls for the CSC roof system and slide/tilt glass sunroof are easy to reach, located within the front centre armrest.

08 If you are travelling with the hardtop down, wind buffeting can be reduced by the wind deflector, it can be fitted in seconds to reduce air turbulence. Image shown features optional leather upholstery.

09 The innovative five-section folding CSC roof system combines the characteristics of a coupé, sliding glass sunroof and convertible roof – all-in-one. At the push of a button, the hardtop lowers automatically into the boot in just 25 seconds and, thanks to its compact dimensions, there’s still 205 litres of luggage space. When the roof is up, a generous 380 litres of boot space is available. Model shown is Eos Sport with optional leather upholstery, Bi-xenon headlights and metallic paint.

02 The climate control – 2Zone electronic air conditioning system divides the passenger compartment into two climate zones, for the driver and front passenger, enabling front occupants to adjust settings of temperature, air supply and ventilation to their individual preference. The temperature is controlled electronically and shown on the display to within one degree accuracy. An air quality sensor monitors the exterior air, activating the automatic air recirculation if necessary, helping prevent outside odours from entering the interior.

03 The distinctive beige contrast stitching theme is continued on the gear knob gaiter.

04 The leather trimmed multifunction sports steering wheel2 is exceptionally user-friendly, enabling you to control a whole host of functions, such as the radio or multifunction computer display, without taking your hands off the wheel. Finished in high grade leather, it is pleasant to hold, as well as providing excellent grip and adding a touch of elegance to the interior.

05 18 inch ‘Vicenza’ alloy wheels3 with 235/40 R18 self-sealing tyres add the finishing touch to the dynamic exterior of the Eos Exclusive.

01 The Eos Exclusive interior offers stylish heated sports seats finished in contemporary two-tone ‘Nappa’ leather1 upholstery in Pepper Beige/Titanium Black with beige piping. The seat centre sections contrast with the side bolsters and head restraints, creating an exclusive look, while stylish elements such as ‘Silver metallic’ decorative inserts and contrasting beige stitching on the leather trimmed three-spoke sports steering wheel, gear knob gaiter and handbrake grip add a touch of refinement, finishing the interior ambience perfectly.

Opposites unite in the Eos Exclusive, a car uniquely designed to satisfy both heart and head in one exceptional package. Technical capability is enhanced perfectly by aesthetic refinement and attention to detail.

Think Blue. Sustainability + Ingenuity.

‘ Think Blue’ is Volkswagen’s promise to create progressive, environmentally friendly products and processes. So, from our concepts to our designs, from our fabrics to our machines, from our buildings to our water supply and from our engines to the open road, we can help shape a more sustainable future. We have already started by creating electric vehicles, BlueMotion models and efficient BlueMotion Technologies that save you money and reduce emissions.

Think Blue. Smart ideas for sustainable driving.

Turbocharged engines deliver more power when you need it and use less fuel when you don’t.

Start/Stop technology saves fuel and therefore cuts emissions by automatically switching off the engine when the car isn’t in motion.

Brake energy recuperation system saves fuel by making the most of energy that’s usually lost when you brake.

Low rolling resistance tyres save you fuel by reducing the friction between the tyre and the road, meaning it takes less energy – and less fuel – to go further.

Electric vehiclescomprise both hybrid and fully electric vehicles, offering all the features of their regular counterparts combined with the ultimate in driving efficiency and low operating costs. The ultimate way to Think Blue.

Purpose-built BlueMotion carsinclude the full range of BlueMotion Technologies as well as an aerodynamically optimised design to reduce wind resistance and increase efficiency.

*BlueMotion Technologies are available on all Volkswagens, excluding Phaeton, and vary between models.

Engines and gearboxesPowerful engines and modern gearbox technologies ensure every mile you travel in the Eos is an absolute joy. Exceptional pulling power combines with ease of running and unbelievable fuel efficiency to deliver uncompromising levels of responsiveness, performance and driving fun.

01

03

01 The unique ‘BlueMotion Technology’ badging displays the environmental credentials of the Eos BlueMotion Technology and makes it instantly recognisable.

02 The Start/Stop function turns off the engine when the vehicle is stationary, in neutral and the clutch disengaged, this is notified via a symbol on the multifunction computer display. This occurs when the engine is idle, such as at traffic lights, thereby saving fuel – then restarts when you put the vehicle back in gear or drive.

03 The multifunction computer provides useful statistics about your journey, such as exterior temperature, average and current fuel consumption, average speed and estimated distance to refuelling. On all manual models, it also includes a visual gear change recommendation for improved fuel consumption.

04

03

02

01

01 The dual clutch DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox) represents a milestone in the development of the latest gearbox production. This innovative automatic gearbox shifts smoothly and imperceptibly into the pre-selected next gear within a few hundredths of a second, without disrupting traction – making dynamic acceleration twice as much fun. Specify the optional paddle shift with the DSG gearbox and rapid gear changes can be made without taking your hands off the steering wheel.

02 The six speed manual gearbox transmits power with short, accurate shifts and very smooth handling, making it easy to drive at the right engine speed.

03 The combination of direct fuel injection and intelligent turbocharging technology enables petrol engines with TSI technology to work particularly efficiently, offering such advantages as high performance, high torque and reduced fuel consumption.

04 Thanks to direct diesel injection technology, TDI engines combine impressive pulling power and smooth running with exceptional economy and reduced emissions, while the latest turbocharging technology ensures even smaller capacity engines deliver optimum performance.

03 Park Assist system has long made parallel parking significantly easier. However, this parking assistant now combines conventional Park Assist with the added functionality of reverse parking into a space at 90 degrees to the kerb. The driver activates the system by pressing a button on the centre console. Using ultrasonic and audible parking sensors located at the front as well as the rear, Park Assist will detect a large enough parking space for either reverse or parallel parking and then, the assisted parking process can begin. Having put the vehicle into reverse, all the driver has to do is operate the accelerator, clutch and brake, while keeping a good lookout. The Eos then takes care of the steering into its chosen space. Further improvements mean Park Assist can now parallel park in particularly small spaces. Optional on all models.

04 Rear parking sensors assist in parking manoeuvres by emitting both audible and visual signals, alerting the driver to any obstacles in the way: the closer you are to an obstacle the faster the sound frequency. In addition, an optical parking display extends the functions of the parking sensors by indicating your position, either in monochrome on RCD 310 DAB  radio system or colour on the optional RCD 510 touch-screen DAB radio system, RNS 315 touch-screen navigation/DAB radio system or RNS 510 touch-screen DVD navigation/DAB radio system.

03

05

05 Four airbags are fitted as standard in the Eos. Driver’s and front passenger’s airbags also include a passenger’s airbag deactivation switch, while the combined curtain and side impact airbag system protects both front and rear seat passengers. When an impact is registered, the airbag control unit ignites the gas generator, which then inflates the airbags in less than 40 milliseconds, helping to significantly reduce the risk of injury.

06 Active rollover bars are located behind the rear backrests. Through intelligent electronic sensors, the possibility of a rollover or impact will be detected and immediate action taken. Within milliseconds the rollover bars will eject and, together with the reinforced windscreen frame, provide protection to passengers.

07 The driver’s and front passenger’s safety-optimised head restraints not only ensure additional comfort, but following an impact from the rear, also provide particularly effective support for the head and spine in the event of a collision.

08 Fitted as standard are disc brakes front and rear, the front discs are ventilated which ensure exceptional thermal performance, even when the temperature of the brakes rise to extreme levels. In addition, a brake pad wear indicator advises the driver via the instrument panel if the brake pads are worn.

09 Two-piece rear lights with integrated indicators incorporating 3D LED technology enhance the rear styling, adding contemporary style and giving the Eos its distinctive identity. The high level third brake light is harmoniously integrated into the boot lid and provides additional warning to other road users.

10 The tyre pressure loss indicator (not shown) will alert you to any change in tyre pressure via a warning in the multifunction display, advising you to rectify the situation.

SafetyA wealth of advanced safety features provides maximum protection for you, your passengers and other road users, regardless of whether you’re driving with the top open or closed.

2524

01 Driver fatigue is a major cause of road accidents, accounting for up to 20% of serious accidents on monotonous roads, such as motorways, in Great Britain. Fatigue related crashes are often more severe than others because the driver’s reaction times are delayed or they have failed to make any manoeuvres to avoid a crash. With these facts in mind, Volkswagen has developed the Driver Alert system which gives an early warning of when you need to take a break on long and tiring journeys, making motorway driving safer. The system works by monitoring driver behaviour closely, noting any erratic steering wheel movements and lane deviations. If the system detects an erratic or unusual driving pattern, it will alert you with a visual display on the dashboard and an audible warning sound, and if you haven’t taken a break within 15 minutes, it will repeat the warnings. The Driver Alert system is just  one of a number of Volkswagen’s innovative driver assistance systems, designed to make driving easier, more comfortable and, above all, safer. Optional on all models.

02 The ESC (Electronic Stability Control) recognises critical driving situations and reacts in milliseconds by targeting brake and engine management systems, controlling the speed of individual wheels and helping to bring the vehicle under control. As a result, the vehicle achieves maximum directional stability. However, a careful driving style is essential, as even ESC cannot extend beyond the laws of physics.

There’s a Volkswagen for all of us.To see these models and configure your ideal Volkswagen, visit: www.volkswagen.co.uk

Nippy city run around? Luxurious executive saloon? Open-top cruiser? Whatever it is you’re looking for, we probably have it. From the iconic Beetle and Golf GTI to the up! and fuel-efficient BlueMotion Golf, there’s a Volkswagen for everyone.

If you’re thinking you might like to try a different Volkswagen, take a look at the selection below to see what else we have. There are 21 models in our range, so there’s bound to be at least one that catches your eye.

Spacious family cars

Sharan: The ultimate in convenience with sliding rear doors, and enough space for the whole family. And their luggage. And the dogs.

If it’s space you’re after, then you might also like to consider the Tiguan, Golf SV, Golf Estate, Touran and Passat Estate.

Style

Beetle: The original icon. And still the most unique way to make a fashion statement.

For more fun with the top down, why not consider Beetle Cabriolet, Golf Cabriolet or Eos.

Executive

Volkswagen CC: Perfectly turned out high-tech, executive luxury. A contemporary, stylish and innovative coupé.

All the luxury you need can also be found in the top of the range Phaeton, and executive comfort in the Passat Saloon and Jetta. 4x4

Touareg: The SUV just got smarter. True four by four capability off-road, and smooth, luxurious and powerful when on it. Features four wheel drive technology, ‘4MOTION’, as standard for optimum road grip, stability and control.

Go anywhere, do anything in our four wheel drive alternatives: Tiguan and Passat Alltrack.

Sporty

Golf: As exciting to drive as it is to look at. Style, performance and power.

You will also find our sporty gene in the iconic Golf GTD and R. Or for something more refined and elegant, there’s the Eos too.

Efficient

Our BlueMotion models benefit from innovative energy-saving technology that helps you optimise fuel consumption and reduce harmful emissions. This includes low rolling resistance tyres and improved aerodynamics, accompanied with advanced engines and gearboxes. Choose from the BlueMotion Polo, Golf, Golf Estate, Passat or Passat Estate.

However, BlueMotion Technology can be found across our range where automatic Start/Stop technology and brake energy recuperation is standard on the majority of our engines, helping you to save more money by being more efficient.

City run around

up!: The ideal city car. Efficient, fun and surprisingly spacious, with that trademark Volkswagen solidity.

If you’re looking for something slightly more spacious, then why not consider the up!’s bigger sibling, the Polo. City run around efficiency with more versatility and even more space can be found on the iconic Golf – winner of ‘World Car of the Year 2013’.

TechnologyTechnical specification notes01  The maximum power output figures are quoted in PS (or Pferdestärke, which is the metric equivalent of horsepower). To convert from metric to imperial horsepower, divide the PS figure by 1.0139.02 Figures are calculated in accordance with manufacturer’s criteria. The individual unladen weight depends on the specification of the vehicle, this then reduces the possible payload accordingly.

The unladen weight and payload both include the fuel tank 90% full, driver (68kg) and luggage (7kg) in line with EU directive 95/48. 03   With increasing altitude the engine performance diminishes. From 1,000m above sea level and for every 1,000m thereafter 10% of the vehicle/trailer weight (trailer weight + gross vehicle weight)

represent the actual fuel consumption achieved in ‘real world’ driving conditions. More information is available on the Volkswagen web site at www.volkswagen.co.uk and at www.vca.gov.org.07  The weight of a vehicle will influence the level of CO2 emission it produces; as a result, vehicles with higher levels of specification and factory-fitted options may emit higher levels of CO2.

The Volkswagen WarrantyThree-year WarrantyAll Volkswagen passenger cars come with a three-year/60,000 miles warranty, which protects your

car against the failure of most technical and electrical components due to manufacturing defects. This

comprises a two-year manufacturer’s warranty with unlimited mileage plus a further one-year/60,000

miles (whichever is soonest) Retailer Warranty1. Should the mileage exceed 60,000 miles within the first

two years, the manufacturer’s two-year warranty will still be valid. Full details of the three-year warranty

are available from your authorised Volkswagen retailer or repairer.

Body Protection WarrantyThe internal body sections and panels of the Eos are covered against rusting through from the inside

for 12 years. Naturally, the vehicle must be cared for in compliance with the operating instructions.

Please consult your authorised Volkswagen retailer or repairer for full warranty details.

Three-year Paintwork WarrantyThis latest warranty, pioneered by Volkswagen, really provides you with the widest possible cover on a

new car. There are no special conditions attached and paintwork manufacturing defects will be rectified

without charge. Naturally, during the warranty period the car must be cared for in compliance with the

operating instructions.

Approved AccessoriesA comprehensive range of accessories from alloy wheels to carpet mats is available to complement the

factory-fitted option list. Volkswagen approved accessories purchased from and fitted by your authorised

Volkswagen retailer at the point of vehicle sale will also benefit from the three-year vehicle warranty.

Extended warrantyIf you order the Volkswagen Extended Warranty as an option when buying your new Eos then you get the

100% Volkswagen Warranty and you can continue to enjoy comprehensive Volkswagen protection against

many unforeseeable repair costs. Designed to your needs, you can purchase an extra one or two year’s

warranty up to a maximum of five years or 90,000 miles.

Service IntervalsVolkswagen is pleased to offer you a choice on how your Volkswagen is serviced. The appropriate selection

is entirely dependent on how the car is likely to be driven and its general use. To help you identify which

type of service would be most suitable, please refer to the following guide.

The Fixed Service is recommended for vehicles that will cover less than 10,000 miles in 12 months and

if the vehicle is likely to be used in the following way:

• Predominantly urban driving, short journeys with frequent cold starts.

• Activities regularly producing high engine loading, e.g. frequent hill climbs, driving with vehicle fully

loaded and towing.

• Uneconomical driving style using high rpms with heavy acceleration and heavy braking.

The service intervals for the Fixed Service are as follows:

• Oil change service –

After 1 year or 10,000 miles (15,000km), whichever is soonest.

• Inspection service2 –

First after 2 years or 20,000 miles (30,000km), then every one year or 20,000 miles (30,000km),

whichever is soonest.

The Flexible Service is recommended for vehicles with daily mileage of more than 25 miles where the

vehicle is driven regularly mainly on longer distance journeys. The vehicle is driven mainly at a constant

speed with minimum vehicle and engine loading, minimal towing and driven in an economical manner.

With the Flexible Service the vehicle can cover anywhere between 10,0003 and a maximum of 20,0003

miles or 24 months (whichever is soonest) between oil changes.

The service intervals for the Flexible Service are as follows:

• Oil change service – According to flexible service interval display (after 2 years at the latest).

• Inspection service2 – First after 2 years or 20,000 miles (30,000km), then every one year or 20,000

miles (30,000km), whichever is soonest.

The up! model is only available with the Fixed Service schedule. Please consult your authorised Volkswagen

retailer or repairer for advice and full details.

Please note: If you purchase a Volkswagen Fixed Price Service Plan your vehicle will follow the Fixed

Service schedule.
