When the pope didn’t want to grant him a divorce, he broke with the catholic church and created the Church of England
Married 6 times, and had two of his wives beheaded
LADY JANE GREY
Became queen with the help of the Duke of Northumberland, because he wanted his family to inherit the throne
Reigned only for 9 days
Was executed along with her husband in 1554
ELIZABETH I
Reigned for 45 years
Was fluent in 6 languages
Her reign was known as The Golden Age
Was called, ‘Gloriana’ and ‘The Virgin Queen’
Never married and didn’t have any children
Was extremely popular and many poems and plays were written in her honour.

Convicted of high treason ‘against the realm of England’ and was executed on the 20th of January 1649
