Reason the Bali Mynah is Endangered

Reason the Bali Mynah is Endangered

Deforestation is happening rapidly in Bali so Mynahs are losing their habitat.

The main reason these birds are endangered is because of illegal pet trade.

Illegal pet trade is when people sell wild animals as exotic pets.

Protection EffortsProtection Efforts

We are trying to reduce the amount of trees that are being cut down in Bali.

Also, a couple of years ago a warehouse was discovered with over 50 mynahs in it.

The owners of the warehouse were arrested and the birds were kept in captivity for research.
