YES/NO www.wipnet.org The Construction Industry Dragon Boat Challenge Wednesday 3 rd June 2009 1pm start 2pm first race 8pm award ceremony Salford Quays For the first time ever, Women in Property are entering an all female team to compete in the Dragon Boat Challenge in aid of CRASH. We need ten rowers and a drummer in order to compete, all crew members must be able to raise a minimum of £150 in sponsorship each in order to take part. This is on a first come first served basis. Up to 40 crews will battle it out over a 250m race course, taking part in at least three races. All crew members must be able to swim in light clothing and moving water and compete entirely at their own risk. For those of you would rather stay on dry land, we need all the supporters there possible as our girls battle it out and show the men how its done! Tickets for Supporters include a BBQ and entertainment. (As if a bunch of people swimming around in Salford Quays wasn’t entertainment enough!?!) Crew Members do not need to pay. CRASH brings together professionals and companies from the construction and property industries to help homelessness charities improve the buildings they use to deliver services to vulnerable homeless people. First race is at 2pm, with the award ceremony at 8pm. 37 teams competing, including EC Harris, Bovis Lend Lease, Wates Group, BAM Construction, Laing O’Rourke, Shepherd Construction. Etc.
