Weekdays/Días Entre Semana 8:00am - English 9:00am - Spanish

This week our nation will inaugurate a new president and celebrate the life, legacy and impact of The Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King, Jr. He would have been 88 today had his life not been cut short as a young man. Race relations seem to be at a low point in our nation. It’s hard to diagnose why that is, but we all sense the heightened tensions. The question we might ask ourselves is, “how have we prayed for our fellow countrymen?” Do we simply bemoan the problems we face as a nation and vilify those with whom we disagree with, or have we taken concrete positive steps to improve the quality of life for our fellow Americans? Let us take as an example from The Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King Jr., who did not demonize his fellow Americans but did oppose structural evil. His courageous life helped build a more just society. May God bless you.
