CareSearch is funded by the Australian Government Department of Health.
Statistics reflect surveyed users. The Nurses Hub is always free and available at www.caresearch.com.au.
Launched in August 2010, the CareSearch Nurses Hub was the first resource of its kind in Australia: a free, specialised hub of information where nurses could find resources to help provide quality, evidence-based palliative care across all clinical settings. This infographic demonstrates the Nurses Hubs incredible impact on the palliative care community over the last five years:
An important one stop shop for information. This represents a very good use of time for nurses because all the information is there in one place. An efficient way of obtaining knowledge.
The Nurses Hub has been an excellent step forwardas end-of-life care has been more medicalised and specialised. It addresses issues that nurses face on a daily basisa major resource for palliative care.
It is a useful recourse and provides a critical focus on the important role that nurses play in palliative care. My colleagues are impressed with its content and the high calibre of information made available.
Giving nurses a discrete space for support and education together with its potential for networking[,] the Nurses Hub recognises the professional issues for nurses in palliative care.
[The Nurses Hub is] useful to demonstrate practice, education and quality all in one placea very comprehensive resource, it is unique and nursing specific.
Current, always evidence-based. It is usable information and the links are relevant. I recommend and promote the site.
