Flexible seat configurations.Swivel seats and a three-seater bench seat in the passenger compartment can be conveniently folded, adjusted and securely fixed at any point of the floor-mounted rail system, enabling seats to be easily removed or installed.

Impressive level of equipment.Standard equipment across all models includes front and rear parking sensors, a leather multi-function steering wheel, Crosswind Assist3, LED interior lighting, electrically adjustable and heated exterior mir-rors, Bluetooth® and electric child safety locks.

When the first VW camper van came off the production line

in 1950, nobody could have imagined that it would one day

move the whole world. First there was the ‘window bus’, and

then later also the ‘Samba’. Little by little it became today’s

Caravelle. But one thing has remained the same since the be-

ginning – its core, the Transporter DNA.

Slide. Fold. Turn. There are a great deal of good ideas in the Caravelle 6.1.

Closely integratedfor the future.

Cars are getting smarter. The Caravelle 6.1 is already equipped with many

digital technologies that make driving more comfortable. The Optional high-

resolution Digital Cockpit1 with map display. Or Volkswagen We Connect² featur-

ing multiple services that turn your smartphone into a remote control for the car.

And this is just the beginning.

New Digital Cockpit.

You can now experience digital progress up close in the Caravelle 6.1. State-of-the-art infotainment systems and the Digital Cockpit1 offer many new functions. The latter immediately impresses with its 10.25 inch display, its intensecolours as well as its bright and extremely high-contrast imagery. The Digital Cockpit1 is operated via the touch display of the infotainment system and via the leather trimmed multi-function steering wheel. Use the buttons to conveniently scroll through the playlist in your smart-phone media library, select the next call via your contacts list or set the safety distance with Adaptive Cruise Control ACC3.

Even more possibilities arise when the Digital Cockpit1 iscombined with the 9.2 inch Discover Pro navigation system2. A large second navigation map can then be positioned on the Digital Cockpit1. In addition, traffic jam information and available parking spaces can be imported via the Internet. An additional benefit: both maps can be zoomed in at different distances. Audio & Communication.

01 Composition Colour DAB+ radio system. Fitted as standard on the Coast, the Composition Colour

DAB+ radio system features a 6.5 inch TFT touch-screen

colour display, two USB (type-C) ports, Bluetooth®, SD

card slot and four speakers delivering 20 watt output. It

also features App-Connect, an integrated eSIM and mobile

online services as part of We Connect and We Connect

Plus.

02 Discover Media DAB+ satellite navigation system.The optional Discover Media satellite navigation system features

an 8 inch colour touch-screen with proximity sensor. The system

also includes a 32GB media storage, natural voice control, free

map updates via the internet and mobile online services with Volk-

swagen We Connect Plus, wireless App-Connect3 and integrated

eSIM.

With Volkswagen We Connect1 driving will now be even more digital,

closely integrated and comfortable. A wide range of services gives you

quick access to the California 6.1 – conveniently via your smartphone.

The heart of the system is the We Connect1 App. It connects your smart-

phone to the vehicle with an integrated eSIM card. The standard We

Connect1 package includes various vehicle reports, useful tools for ser-

vice planning and a breakdown call. Also included: the parking position

finder, which guides you directly to the vehicle. You can add many other

services with the We Connect Plus1,2 package. For example, using your

smartphone, the online anti-theft warning system immediately sends

a message to the mobile phone in the event of burglary attempts, and

thanks to online map updates, the map material is always up to

date. To take advantage of these exclusive services, you can register

today with the We Connect1 Portal. Once your vehicle has been activated,

you can access the full range of Mobile Online Services.

Park Assist aids positioninginto parking spaces. Whenreverse is engaged, the vehicleassumes control of the steering.All that’s required of the driveris to operate the pedals, whilstkeeping a good lookout.

Side protection. NEW

As part of Park Assist,Side protection monitorsthe vehicle’s sides and alertsyou with visual and audiblewarnings if you’re getting tooclose to other vehicles, pillars,walls or pedestrians.

Crosswind Assist. NEW

As part of the standardElectronic StabilisationProgramme (ESP), CrosswindAssist applies adaptive brakingintervention when the vehicleDriving the Transporter 6.1 offers high levels of safety encounters a strong crosswind.

Adaptive Cruise Control(ACC)

Optional on all trims. Adaptive Cruise Controluses a front radar to measure the distance (up to 120 metres) and-speed relative to vehicles driving ahead. It automatically regulates the pre-set distance. ACC also includes the Front Assist with City Emergency Braking System. This detects critical distances, warns of hazardous situa-tions and when necessary,a speed of up to 18mph triggers emergency braking.

Traffic Sign Recognition. NEW

Detects road signs and informsthe driver. Optionally availablein combination with the DiscoverMedia navigation system.

Active Lane Assist.NEW

Active Lane Assist countersteersthe vehicle if the driverunintentionally drifts from alane. The system also emitsaudible and visual warnings viathe multi-function display toalert the driver of danger.

Rear Traffic Alert.NEW

As part of Active Lane Assist, RearTraffic Alert helps by emitting anaudible warning when reversingout of a parking space if anothervehicle is approaching. If thedriver fails to respond, the systemintervenes and applies braking tohelp avoid a collision.

Tyre pressure monitoring system.

Displays the current pressure forevery tyre and warns of deviationsfrom the set pressure.
