Many girls w e re rape d. Th e re w e re girls w h o adapte d th e m s e lve s to th e s ituation and m ade advance s to office rs out of th e ir ow n initiative , to avoid be ing rape d. Th e re w e re only m ale office rs . Th os e w h o didn't com ply, w h o re je cte d th e m e n w e re give n th e w ors t w ork or s e nt into th e w ar. My s upe rior put m e unde r pre s s ure and told lie s about m e , be caus e I did not com ply to h is de m ands . For e xam ple h e accus e d m e to h ave s tole n m one y. H e pas s e d on th is k ind of accus ations to h is s upe riors , s o th at I w ould be punis h e d. It w as unbe arable . Th e re fore I w e nt to m y fam ily in As m ara. Afte r one m onth I w as arre s te d, and w as brough t to th e police s tation in Ge gje re t. Afte r th at I w as s e nt to Adiabe to.
