A relaxed wedding right on the waterfront was exactly what Hollie and Anthony had in mind for their wedding day, with a relaxed coastal feel. Splash Events helped them to create an understated glam ceremony setting on the terrace of Ebb Waterfront Restaurant and Cellar, overlooking the Maroochy River.

The bride and groom wanted to keep everything as laid back and hassle-free as possible, so they opted to not have any attendants on the day. Instead they involved their family and friends as much as they could in the lead up to the big day, including some fun DIY projects amongst the girls and asking friends to recite readings at the ceremony.

Hola! What a colourful treat this styled shoot is! When it comes to wedding themes for the Sunshine Coast, this one is a little left of centre, but right smack bang in the middle of oh-my-goodness-amazing! To a rustic country setting, we brought all of the glorious glamour of a Mexican Fiesta-themed wedding. One thing is for sure, a wedding like this one at Yandina Station, styled by Splash Events would be absolutely unforgettable. Photographs by Adori Studios.

Splash Events put together a colourful fiesta ceremony set up with a Mexican print draped with

vines and flowers to perfectly frame the couple as they take

their vows. Guests would know just where to go from the simple

Spanish signage, and then watch in comfort upon coloured

scratched metal chairs. The rustic is brought up a notch with

wooden crates housing gorgeous richly coloured florals by Blooms of Noosa. Throw in a Mexican hat, and all the colours of the rainbow in bright ribbons and you have a

latin boda perfecta!

The rustic barn location is jazzed up with plenty of colour in papel picada bunting, coloured glass and more ribbon, making for a warm, welcoming wedding reception. Bentwood chairs were brought in for the reception table, while a chill out area was created with Acapulco chairs, rugs and plenty of colourful cushions.

Large blue urns positively spilling with colourful floral arrangements are impressive raised centrepieces upon a bed of moss and littered with succulents. A candelabra of vines and tea light candles was created to bring the outdoors in and add yet more colour to the styling. Maracas make the perfect wedding favour, and would be sure to get the celebration going throughout the evening.

The rest of Lauren and Matt’s wedding was just as beautiful as that amazing

dress. This carefully planned and executed Noosa wedding featured lots

of cute details, leaning towards a beachy vintage theme with modern vintage

furniture as a major centrepiece. Noosa Waterfront Restaurant & Bar was the

perfect backdrop for their creatively put together styling on their special day.

Lauren and Matt were very appreciative of their attendants, they generously

gifted the bridesmaids cute matching dressing gowns to get ready in and

jewellery, while the groomsmen were given golf equipment and treated to a

game the day before the wedding. All of the attendants were dressed impeccably,

with the girls in custom-made dresses in varying styles. They were also given free reign to choose hair styles to best

complement them individually.

It was a family affair from the start. Susie and Mitch were introduced by Susie’s cousin, who was Mitch’s roommate at the time. Four and a half years later, when Mitch proposed, the couple chose the glorious month of May to be married in Caloundra. They planned well, as beautiful weather ensued!

The Caloundra Power Boat Club was prettily dressed up by Susie and her family, putting together much of the decorations themselves. The tables were dressed with pretty paper pom-poms and rosewater bottles housing one or two stems.

Doilies were a recurring theme in the stationery and table seating, which lent itself to the lace theme the bride planned around her vintage-inspired lace dress. Susie looked absolutely divine! Weddings are about families and creating something worth remembering, so we think it’s really special when couples play homage to their family history. The bride brought in a little bit of tradition and history by including a table with photographs of past brides and grooms in their families. Of course now Susie and Mitch will have the most beautiful wedding photos to contribute with these stunning images by Emma Nayler.
