The Bourne Ultimatum
The Bourne Ultimatum
Jaber Imran
In this frame there are many techniques used. For example the lighting is perfect. This shot is perfect because it is a low angled shot, with the use of Mise-en-scene. The guy in the shot is in distraught and matching the weather in the scene. There is a Shallow focus focusing on the man on the floor and a little part of the train going past. This shot also includes Artificial lighting. An example of this is towards the body on the floor the grass is faded with a overshadow creating a gloomy effect between the scene showing that the train could have hit the guy on the floor.
In this shot the police car is leaving the scene, to give the scene a better realistic effect Depth of field is added. This gives a realistic effect because the further you are away from an object, the object gets more blurred. Also the Lighting is quite important in this shot as well, this is because if you look at the left hand side of the scenery it has a bright flow of lighting and on the right hand side the lighting seems to fade out. This is really interesting because the left tail light is lit up matching the scenery. However on the right side the right tale light is off matching the half of the scenery.
In this scene the guy in the shot seems like he is running away from someone, there is a Close up used in this shot and the lighting reflects on to half of his face. This shot can resemble that he has done something wrong and is running to save his life, resembling the dark side and he could also be a very kind and soft person on the other hand resembling the light on the other half of his face.
The mysterious man in this scene is obviously in a place where he is not meant to be, the man is stealing one of the bottle of medicines from the stash in the corner. Mise-en-scene is used in this shot for example the placement of the cupboards and draws and where the medicine is stocked. Adding to my explanation the medicine is hidden next to the cupboard making it hard to find indicating it is not meant to be touched. This is a Close up of the man taking the medicine from the pile on the right.
