THE BISHOP’S SCHOOL CAMP, PUNE PREFECTS INVESTITURE CEREMONY 2011 – 2012 The Prefects Investiture Ceremony of The Bishop’s School, Camp was held on the morning of Friday, the 1 st of July, 2011. a bright and sunny morning saw the students of classes VIII, IX and X assemble in the New Hall of the B W Roberts Building, along with the proud parents of our soon to be appointed prefects. The ceremony began with the traditional assembly being conducted by our beloved Prin- cipal, Mr Frank R Freese. The chorus ‘I Vow To Thee My Country’, chosen for this special occasion, gave these young leaders a sense of purpose and responsibility as they stood on the threshold of a dream that was envisioned a long time ago. The School Captains, Vice Captains and all other prefects received their honors at the hands of a visionary leader – The Principal and CEO of The Bishop’s Education Society, Mr Frank R Freese An impressive presentation ceremony, led by the Head Master, Mr Joel Edwin, and conducted by the administrative staff members of the school, placed the yoke of responsibility on the shoulders of our young ladies and gentlemen. The principal spoke to the student body of prefects, giving them a vivid description of what was expected of them as prefects, to treat each student with the respect due to them, and to be just and diligent in all that they undertake to do. The ceremony was closed in prayer – a special prayer that was dedicated to the prefects. This was followed by the School Song and the National Anthem. The parents and the prefect body were invited to tea, following the closing of this magnificent Investiture Ceremony. Photographs on next page..
