The Beauty of South Indian sarees

India is a land of dif f erent cultures and tradit ions. Justlike the f ood pattern, f estivals etc. varies f rom state tostate, even the clothing varies. Southern part of India hasa dif f erent culture and tradit ion when compared to theNorthern part of India and this is also depicted in theirclothing.

Normally the South Indians love wearing sarees and thisis the highly pref erred outf it of this region. The southIndian culture is ref lected in the south Indian sarees. Thesouth Indian sarees are known to be magnif icent. Thequality of weaving and the texture of cloth dif f ers whencompared to the sarees originated in North India.

The very f amous type of South Indian saree is the Kanchipuram silk sarees that are elegant and beautif ul intheir own way. The look of a lady is sure to be enhanced when they wear this type of saree. It is woven in puresilk and usually consists of bright colours. Usually the dif f erent types of designs included in these sarees areof temples, animals, peacock, parrot, f lowers, leaves etc. The zari work included in these sarees is trulyamazing. Most of the south Indian ladies are sure to have the Kanchipuram silk sarees in their collection ofsarees. This saree is sure to give a very royal look to the ladies.

Kasavu is another very f amous saree that belongs to this part of our country. It is a tradit ional Kerala sareewhich is mostly of f -white in colour and includes beautif ul golden border. The ladies of Kerala usually wear thissaree during the times of Onam celebration and also during any other auspicious occasion.

Konrad saree is one more very popular type of saree that iswoven in Tamil Nadu. This was mainly used f or the temple idolsbut now many of the south Indian brides have incorporated thestyle.

The grace of the South Indian sarees is appreciated by peopleacross the world.
