    THE ART OF THINKING 2

    The Art of Thinking

Through resistant of change, conformity and self-deception we struggle to see things for

what they really are. We become so caught up in others opinions, ideas, decisions and beliefs, we

become lazy to our own ideas, opinions, wants, desires and beliefs. Though we are told and

shown one thing what we see and experience is juggled in our own judgment to how things

    really are.

I support and want Americans to be free from the independency of foreign oil as well as

offshore drilling in the United States! I have a son who is a Marine who gets deployed to

Afghanistan to fight for what? Oil, power and money? Our soldiers who are deployed cost

BILLIONS of dollars putting our country in debt creating this economic rut we are in today.

And our government and president seem to conform to what is proven to have negative outcomes

on our economy as well as our environment. This I dont understand, when we can use the

money spent at war on alternative energy and fuels to establish a healthier way of living that also

can improve our planet we live in as global warming becomes more relevant. I question is it the

resistants to change for the better? New jobs would be created, which in turn could reduce our

national debt, there would be no more cost of disaster spills from fossil fuelsreducing debt even

    more.

Energy has been one of the most important factors in keeping society running

smoothly(2007 Taylor & Francis) The U.S relies on nonrenewable resources like oil,

uranium(for nuclear energy), coal, and natural gas for 93 percent of its energy

need(Hamalainen, K). But with todays technology we have the ability to extract oil form such

things as tar sands, we have many natural resources available, wind, waves, solar, electric they

are less likely to have a devastating affect if they were to fail such as oil spills have on animals,

environment and the health and wellbeing of people. We have conformed to what we have

always known as our source of energy and fuel and have hesitation on trying something that we

are not familiar with (resistant of change) not only our culture and society but our leaders tend to

make up reasons as to why it would be easier to just continue doing what we always have done.

Technology is allowing us to drill deeper reaching oil and natural gas that was previously

untouchable, there is still a limit to how much of these fossil fuels we can extract.(Hamalainen,

    K)

The more we are aware of the toxins released into the environment and the risks

associated with the increased dependence on fossil fuels as well as the increased production of

oil Americans have begun to become part of the Green Movement.(Genaw, J.L.) The global

warming affect that has been brought to our attention is real and we are witness to it each and

every day. Our society needs to have the ability to stream their ideas, thoughts, opinion, and

beliefs with confidence that they are not only being herd but there is action being taken. The

more devastation that occurs creating irreversible change to our environment and wellbeingby

continuing touse fossil fuel energy and gas the more we stay stagnated in the conformity,

resistant to change and the self-deception of our environment, animals and people. We will be

riddled with disease, illness, and death. Our natural resources will become more polluted then

what they are today making them unusable and life as we know it will no longer exist. It is in our

power and our choices to sustain the life we have today and keep it for the future. Using what our

earth can provide for energy sources such as; the wind, waves, tides, solar, and recycling. These

do not cause harm to the earth they are plentiful, never-ending, low cost, low maintenance and

can provide to all, if we just keep moving forward taking what was, and has always been and

looking into the future, seeing what can be and whats best for everyone and everything is worth

the fight and challenge to have a perfect world to live in!
