In light of the country’s economic crisis, the real estate industry faces significant threats to your ability to do business. Your investment in realtor® political activity is more crucial than ever. For example, point-of-sale mandates for sewer lateral inspections continue to be an issue as are the 'mandatory safety inspections’ in South San Francisco. Additionally, some of our industry’s core policies are subject to significant change or outright elimination on the federal and state level such as the Mortgage Interest Deduction and changes to fha, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Your ability to do business and your clients’ ability to buy and sell their homes could be adversely impacted if we do not continue our legislative advocacy efforts.
