The applicants will be notified about the aptitude test in advance. If any applicant does not get the nd

notification about the aptitude test before 22 of February, it is the responsibility of the applicant to

clarify matters with the University.

Priority will be given to NVQ level 5/6 qualified or those who have equivalent diplomas, and the balance Vacancies will be filled from G.C.E A/L qualified candidates, based on their Z-scores.

Only short-listed candidates will be contacted for an aptitude test.

NVQ or G. C. E. A/L , on the top left hand corner of the envelope. Please enclose, along with the

application, copy of the certificate of the relevant qualification, the deposit slip of applications-

processing fee of Rs.1,000/= which may be obtained from any Bank of Ceylon Branch to the credit of

ii. Any other qualification in the field of hotel and tourism with a duration of minimum one year full time or equivalent in part time offered by a Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC) registered training

provider or an overseas institution acceptable to the Academic Council of the University with minimum two years (02) of experience in a hotel rated three (03) star or above . Those who possess experience at middle managerial

level will be given priority and their experience will be evaluated by a panel appointed by the University.

BACHELOR OF HOTEL MANAGEMENT - NEW DEGREE PROGRAMME Entry Qualifications:i. NVQ level 5 or above in the fields of Hospitality Management, Hotel & Tourism

* Equivalency of a qualification to NVQ level 5 or 6 have to be established by TVEC; for such qualifications which the TVEC has accepted as deemed to be equivalent to NVQ level 5 or 6 , the candidate has to submit written documentation issued by TVEC as evidence with the application. Equivalency of other Diploma qualifications have to be established by a Committee on Equating & Validating Certificates and Diplomas of National Apprentice and Industrial Training Authority(NAITA) * Exemptions may be granted for relevant modules after a proper evaluation for those who have NVQ level 6 or equivalent qualifications.
