A letter will be sent home via their tutor confirming your child’s activities and required payment methods. Friday 24th April – Payment Deadline Please consider affordability when selecting activities. As per the Pupil Premium policy, Pupil Premium cannot be used for Activities Week. If payment is not made by the deadline it is likely that your child will be removed from the trip. Behaviour Requirements Parents should be aware that participation in Activities Week is dependent on good behaviour throughout the school year. Fieldsports Fun Spend two days out in the great outdoors! This trip takes you back to basics and into the glorious countryside. Day one is at High Lodge Shooting School. At High Lodge you will receive expert tuition shooting 25 clay pigeons. The coaches move the students around the range of sporting targets and guide you through all the safety and techniques for success. In the afternoon we play football golf on the 18 hole golf course. Day two is spent fishing at Bromeswell Lakes. To be able to fish you must be competent to independently and safely unhook a fish and return it back to the water. The welfare of the fish is paramount. All students will fish in pairs for their own safety. If you are inexperienced and wish to attend the trip you need to have an experienced fishing friend who is happy to mentor you through the day. Students will need their own equipment for this activity. It is a legal requirement that people over the age of 13 need to purchase a rod licence in order to fish in the UK. This is an additional cost to the activity. At the point of advertising the current pricing is £6 for a day licence. This is a two day trip. Contact: Mr Steed or Mr Haughan Cost: £50 for both days. This includes tuition, clays, cartridges, hearing and eye protection loan, 18 holes of football golf and ball hire. Day ticket at Bromeswell Lakes. Rod Licence not included.
