Welcome back to our RA SNIFFER DOG from her sojourn in the Blue Mountains. It was

rather a large pack tonight and as luck would have it, the rain stayed away for the run & the bucket. QR found a great spot in the back alley and directed SIR LES “to park the

bucket here out of the prying eyes of the local constabulary.” SNIFFER DOG had to whistle twice tonight to get the rabbles attention but get our attention she did.

RUN REPORTER: JOKER, always a man of few words, said the run was well set, plenty of arrows, some flour left after the pigeons had eaten most of it and a disappointment as it did not go past Kogarah Oval. Well done though QR as JOKER awarded you 9/10!

HISTORY: SNIFFER DOG’s trusty phone was not so trusty tonight so the history lesson was short & sweet. Kogarah means “A Place of Reeds” and the

most notable people to have resided here (besides SLOPS!) were Clive James & Reg Gasnier. There were cries from the circle of” how about Macca?” “Who?” replied SNIFFER DOG. “Ian McNamara from Australia All Over, ABC radio Sunday mornings” all the oldies in the circle yelled!

THE CIRCLE

“Big pack tonight I hope the grog

doesn’t run out or I’ll lose my job!”

VISITORS: Quite a line-up tonight! PETER, BRENGUN, HOT DICK, ICE BOX and a new Hasher ROB (friend of MOA’s) Welcome back to HOT DICK and ICE BOX from their travels. Great to have you join us. Always good to see PETER and you too BRENGUN even though you only run with us because we have red bubbles in the bucket! Keep coming along and we will keep the bubbles up! As ROB was new to hashing SNIFFER DOG asked him to enlighten us re his hobbies etc. He plays golf, likes beer, likes MOA and his hobby is that he masti…cates!

BIRTHDAY: HOT DICK who for some reason is camera shy, but this probably is his better view anyway!

PRICK OF THE WEEK NOMINATIONS: PIG was nominated by the whole circle for just being PIG JJ nominated PIG for saying he had bigger boobs than most of the Harriettes DIRTY WEEKEND nominated PSEUDO for instead of continuing on the run he stopped and gazed

lustfully at the goodies in the lingerie shop PIG nominated HOT DICK for wearing a shirt that advertised he had been in rehab at the Betty Ford Clinic. LOANER nominated DOC for asking TAXING was she becoming a Lesbian because of her short haircut. “Was that just a slip of the tongue DOC?” some wit asked. PRICKETTE OF THE WEEK NOMINATIONS: Pig nominated HOLEPROOF for saying our visitor ROB masticated! PIG nominated SQUATTING SQUAW for carrying around with her tonight a large container of sunblock. PSEUDO nominated SQUATTING SQUAW also, as she mentioned to him that the aforementioned container was a precaution against the recurrence of a previous episode when SQUATTING SQUAW missed a “spot” whilst nude sunbaking at Coogee. This “episode” apparently resulted in her setting fire to her map of Tassie and she does not want to suffer this when nude sunbaking at Vincentia in the not too distant future.

CANOOKIE has been overwhelmed with the donations she has received of clothing to take with her. Two bags full which is more than enough! Well done us! However there is still a little room for running shoes in reasonable condition if you wish to bring them to GOON’s run next Monday at Lansdowne. Although CANOOKIE cannot be there TICKLE & GOON have kindly offered to collect the shoes and deliver them to her. So if you have some runners not being worn anymore & in reasonable condition please bring them, but no more clothing. CANOOKIE will be sending a thank you note when she returns from her trek. *********************************************************************************************************************

CHRISTMAS MORNING RUN

Hash members decided that to have a breakfast run on Christmas morning was not a

popular idea due to family commitments. However, a suggestion was made to have a

Christmas Eve morning breakfast run on Sunday 24th. December instead. This run will

still be counted as run 1633. RABBIT is more than happy to host this run at Moore

Reserve, West Crescent, Hurstville Grove. STAY TUNED

MERKIN told us he had run into PILGRIM, BOBBIT, MORNING GLORY & AFTERNOON DELIGHT during the week. They are all well and more importantly JUST AN INCH is doing VERY well. Talk about a walking medical miracle, JUSTIE is amazing!! MOSES was not mentioned but we will assume all is well as there has been no press coverage of babies being found in the Bullrushes, Commandments being read from a mountain or the waters of Woolooware Bay being mysteriously parted! (Thanks Merkin for this news) B2H3 have received a letter of thanks from the Australian Prostate Council regarding our excellent recent donation. Well done to all of those involved with the 50 years of Hashing event at Gunnamatta Bay hosted by B2H3.

DNF has been resting in St George hospital following a fall at his residence about three weeks ago. He hopes to be allowed out of bed to walk sometime soon. He has some other issues complicating

his recovery process. Ward 4, Room 3 will find him. (Thank you PSEUDO for checking on DNF & visiting him)

VENUS was so busy before the run collecting Annual Fees & writing receipts that she missed the start of the run. She left the pub in a hurry and spotted PSEUDO lurking near his car and asked him which way the runners went. “Not sure” he replied “Well did they go out through the back of the pub?” VENUS asked “No I don’t think so“replied PSEUDO “Well, did they head out towards Carlton?” VENUS asked in a voice which by now was getting to sound a tad agitated. ” Not too sure but I think they may have gone over the station” which was in the other direction. Poor PSEUDO he was so unprepared for this reply from VENUS delivered in a very loud voice “F----------------CK!” as she ran off to find trail.

I am sure our visitor ROB will be back as when the circle finished he was witness to a couple of Harriettes holding up their shirts for a bit of show & tell to check if it was true that PIG really did have bigger boobs than them! In the pub ROB’s eyes were still like saucers~!

On in and up to the Thai Restaurant on the upper floor of the Kogarah Hotel. At first confusion was the order of the night with cries of “we will never get served, that table of 20 people were in here when we started our bucket & they still have not been fed!” On and on it went. Some left, some settled down expecting a long wait, HOLEY sold raffle tickets taking advantage of the trapped audience and lo & behold we were all fed delicious meals within the hour! Great food at popular prices, pleasant staff and great company so well done QR!

A Texan walks into a church & says “I wanna see the head hog”. “Excuse me, sir,” the secretary chides, “we don’t refer to our minister by any nicknames.” “I don’t care what you call him,” the Texan said. ”I wanna see the head hog.” “Let me rephrase that. Our minister is very well respected in this community. We don’t refer to him by any nickname, let alone that of a pig!” said the secretary “Listen, lady” the Texan said pulling a cheque out of his pocket. “I wanna give a one million dollar donation to this church. Now, where’s the head hog?” “Goodness me,” said the secretary. “I think I can hear the little porker coming now”

HOW TO GET TO GOON’s BUSH RUN MONDAY 11th DECEMBER On Monday 11 December, I will set a “Bush Run” in the Lansdowne Reserve. We will meet at the Car Park on the corner of Johnston Rd and the Hume Highway, Lansdowne. This car park is adjacent to the Baseball fields and has a change room and toilet facilities. Please note that this car park is best approached from Johnston St, or from travelling in a westerly direction on the Hume Highway. If you are heading east along the Hume Highway, you cannot turn right into Johnstone St. This is the last remaining patch of remnant bush in city of Canterbury- Bankstown, it contains a “Bio Bank” and is worthy of a run before it is gobbled up by development – so come and join the fun. After the run, the On On will be at the Twin Willows Hotel – Bass Hill. 739 Hume Highway, Bass Hill NSW 2197 – which is about 2 km away. Cheers GOON

Scribe’s note: If you leave now GOON will provide a cut lunch for you! Ha! Ha!

On On & see you next Monday at GOON’s run …… Holeproof
