PDMA Khyber Pakhtukhwa Updates as of 17-8-2014

Esaar-e-Pakhtunkhwa Program

Under the Esaar-e-Pakhtunkhwa Program, as of 17th August 2014 at 01:20 PM, 45,697 families of NWA have

received their Cash payment of 1st Installment @ Rs. 8,000/- successfully. A total of Rs. 365.58 Millions have

been disbursed so far.

Under the Esaar-e-Pakhtunkhwa Program, all the registered verified families of NWA will be provided with Rs.

23,000/. (Ramadan Package Rs.5, 000, Rs. 3,000/- monthly house rent).

Reservoir Max Conservation Level (feet) Today (Feet) Heavy Rains in Khyber Pakhtunkha resulted in 18 deaths, 52 injured. 11 houses were fully damaged, 29 houses were partially damaged, 1 madrassa and mosque were fully damaged and a market was partially damaged. In Narowal as a result of over flowing of Deg Nullah three villages were inundated with a large piece of cultivated land.

Seasonal Low lies over North Balochistan with its trough extending southeastwards.

Yesterday’s trough of strong westerly wave over northern parts of the country has weakened today and slightly moved eastwards and today lies over Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas.

Nationwide Updates

Islamic relief UK Nutrition Project in District Bagh Updates as of 14-8-2014 Since last summer, thousands of malnourished children, as well as expectant and breastfeeding women, have

accessed our supplementary feeding programme. Delivered for the first time by Islamic Relief, the project op-

erates within existing health facilities in the district Bagh.

So far, the project – which is supported by the World Food Programme and coordinated with the government

of Pakistan has improved nutrition for over 3,000 malnourished children and more than 1,100 mothers.

Alkhidamt Foundation (AKF) Activities in district Lahore as on 16-8-2014 37 deserving people benefited from Al-Khidmat Foundation’s Rozgar Program. A special distribution ceremony

for the disbursement of interest-free money was arranged in which General Secretary Al-Khidmat Foundation

participated. A total of PKR 710,000 was disbursed among the people.
