C O U R S E D E S C R I P T I O NThis course is designed to present advanced instruction of upper and lower extremity trauma to practicing orthopaedic surgeons and orthopaedic residents who have working knowledge of present technology. Participants will be updated on the new techniques and philosophies in the modern management of orthopaedic trauma. Participants will learn to identify and understand the appropriate salvage procedures for difficult trauma cases through didactic lectures, cases presentations and hands-on workshops. The hands-on workshops, with equipment and saw bones, will offer participants the opportunity to apply these new techniques for treating fractures of the upper and lower extremity. Ample individualized instruction will be provided by faculty members. By making physicians aware of these newest options in treatment, we hope to lessen patient morbidity and enhance satisfaction and outcome.

C O U R S E O B J E C T I V E SUpon completion of this course, learners will be able to:

• Apply new techniques in learners specific practices

• Acquire working knowledge of salvage procedures for difficult trauma cases.

T A R G E T A U D I E N C EThis course is designed to meet the needs of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Nurses, PA’s, MA’s and mid-level providers whose scope of practice includes orthopaedic trauma.
