Dulux AcraTex AcraPrime 501/2Is roller applied to seal and bind the Exotec panel as well as providingexcellent inter-coat adhesion for following texture coat. Two coats should beapplied over cut edges or sanded patches at the time of cutting or sanding.

Dulux AcraTex 955 AcraShield MattA second coat of Dulux AcraTex 955 AcraShield is required.

Roller applied Dulux AcraTex 955 AcraShield upgrades the entire systems long-term integrity, providing resistance to atmospheric pollution and protection fromultra violet, moisture ingress and salt penetration. It also provides a flexibleprotective layer that minimises dirt pick up, so the surface stays looking newlonger.

Dulux AcraTex 955 AcraShield (coating example shown)Typically Dulux AcraTex Roll On finishes are applied. Low profile smooth-finefinishes are perfect for this smooth substrate. The Texture coat provides thelook or overall appeal (to suit your preference), practical coverage ability (forapplicator/painter ease & efficiency), and integrity & flexibility for long term(technical performance).

ApplicationsThe express panel look is an emerging design trend. Originally used oncommercial buildings, it is also becoming very popular on industrial and residentialbuildings. ExoTec faade panel is eye-catching for feature areas in compositedesigns. Make the most of the express panel look by painting bright or daringcolours.

DescriptionExoTec facade panel and fixing system is a new, low maintenance, panelisedcladding option made by using James Hardies breakthrough fibre cementtechnology. This has produced a panelised look, which is strong, durable andeasily maintained.

CoatingRoll-On texture finishes are commonly used to coat ExoTec faade panels. The benefit in using Dulux AcraTex acrylic texture coatings is that you have the abilityto choose a proven system complemented with a rich spectrum of colours from thedeepest, boldest colours to the most natural looking neutrals, allowing maximumdesign flexibility and freedom. Refer to the www.acratex.com.au site to view thedifferent texture profiles online. Alternatively samples can be obtained through yourarchitect, builder or trained applicator when selecting your preferred finish.

SOME COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONSWhat determines a good job?How many times have you heard that preparation is the key? This is paramount ingetting the best job. Combine thorough preparation with the application of the Dulux AcraTex texture system by an experienced trained applicator and the result isa high quality finish.

How long will a typical house take to coat?Typically, this should take 3 - 4 days; one day for masking and preparation, two daysfor priming and top coating with Dulux AcraTex AcraShield. Of course this is subjectto weather conditions and the size of the project.

What is the maintenance / cleaning cycle?Your property is possibly the largest investment you will make, so keeping your housein good shape makes sense. As a rule of thumb, get your home pressure cleaned(including your glazing & joinery) every 12 18 months, however around coastalregions every 6 months.

How many colours are available?Colour is our business! You have well over 2,500+ colours to choose from within theDulux colour specifier range to choose from. Ask your builder for a Dulux colour chart.

Is the Dulux AcraTex system weatherproof?Yes, the Dulux AcraTex system has been designed to prevent water ingress throughthe film of Dulux AcraTex AcraShield, but allows water vapour out, so the system willbreathe.

When will I need to repaint?This depends on the original coating as well as the environment and maintenancecycle. On average, you will have in excess of 7- 10 years before repainting isrequired.

Is there a Dulux AcraTex warranty?Yes, Dulux provides a 7 year warranty for Dulux AcraTex materials and the trainedapplicator will give you a 7 year workamanship warranty.
