Did you know that this year is a leap year in the
jewish calendar which means that there are two
months of ADAR, the month of PURIM. Dressing up
for Purim is one of my favourite things to do and this
week’s parsha there is a guy who likes to dress up
almost as much as i do and his name is Aharon. He
was the High priest and he had to wear a whole
Uniform when he went to work in the
mishkan (Temple.) There is a whole
description of what he had to wear. One of the
cool things was a plate that he wore on his
front that had a stone to represent every
different tribe. Imagine how heavy it would
have been to wear that thing all the time. He
also had to wear a dress which wasn’t so funny
at the time coz boys used to wear dresses too.
What do you think of his outfit? fashionable?
