Golf enthusiasts seeking the ultimate golf experience need look no further. as one of the region’s premier golf

creations, Tetherow boasts a brilliant 18 hole championship layout by David mclay Kidd , the award-winning architect

of bandon Dunes and the new St. andrews Castle Course in Scotland.

Opened to critical acclaim in 2008, Tetherow continues to rack up awards, for everything from the golf course to our

views and dining. We pride ourselves on offering a challenging golf course, outstanding staff, a wide range of events

for all ages and some surprising twists on what a golf community can be.

Our name honors the historic pioneer Solomon Tetherow, who led a wagon train party through this area in the mid-

1800s as they traveled from missouri to Oregon. Tetherow Golf Club embodies this spirit of leadership and adventure

as we lead the golf industry into the next era.

Our David mclay Kidd 7,298 yard links-style course features imaginative routing lined by fescue grasses flowing

magnificently with the natural terrain. The course offers a diverse mix of holes framed by ragged bunkers, knobs and

knolls, and is surrounded by panoramic views of Oregon’s high desert and Cascade mountain range.

theme parties, golf trips and outdoor adventures. membership types include: residential, social, golf, generational

and junior executive. membership is included with most real estate, and memberships can also be purchased without

Central Oregon’s rich landscape is the perfect backdrop for golf. Our course winds through a peaceful forest clearing

rich with wildlife and character. During Tetherow’s development, most of the vast native vegetation was either left

untouched or replanted throughout the property.

Committed to preserving its natural landscape, Tetherow is an audubon International Certified Signature Sanctuary

and was the first course in Oregon to achieve this certification. Tetherow’s pledge to ensuring environmentally

sound philosophies and practices are integrated into nearly every aspect of the course development and on-going

agronomic practices that support sustainability and environmental excellence.

We have established wildlife corridors to aid in the migration of native fauna and fowl and preserved snags and rock

and brush piles throughout the property as natural habitat for the smaller animals. With the help of east Cascade

bird Conservancy, ongoing efforts promote and protect various bird species by placing bird and bat boxes around

the course. In particular, we are working to provide nesting habitat for the lewis’ woodpecker, which is currently on

the endangered species watch list. more than 45 different species of wildlife have been spotted on the property,

including great blue herons, rocky mountain elk, deer, ducks, osprey and prairie warblers.

Tetherow embraces a fresh, modern perspective on our version of a golf community. a great game of golf is still one

of our favorite ways to spend a sunny afternoon, yet our grounds are ideal for a variety of different events.

Our two-tiered driving range is perfect for improving your golf game, but it’s also the stage for a myriad of other

events! In the height of summer during special events, a lengthy Slip n’ Slide on the range helps cool off kids and

adults alike, while it is a great sledding slope when the snow flies. During our annual Caddyshack Par-3 event,

we welcome a 6-foot tall groundhog to the festivities. bend’s annual ‘blitz 2 the barrel’ mountain bike race winds

through the incredible trails of the Deschutes National Forest and finishes on our driving range (pictured left). One of

our favorite family events is the ‘Camp out on the range’, complete with fire pits, snacks, glow in the dark golf, tents

and a large projection movie screen.
