The present tense in Spanish is used to talk about things that are happening at the moment of speaking or things

that happen on a regular basis.

Ejemplo:

1. Estoy en el instituto: I am at school

2. Voy al instituto de lunes a viernes: I go to school from Monday to Friday

General knowledge: The base forms of verbs are called “infinitivos” in Spanish (the form you find in the dictionary).

They have three different endings, and the endings for each tense depend on them. They are:

-AR verbs

Trabajar (to work) -ER Verbs

Beber (to drink) -IR verbs

Vivir (to live)

To form the present tense: take off the ar/er/ir from the infinitive and add:
