As promised, heres an update from Kookaburra on our new four-legged friend, Poco:

Poco is settling in great down at the barn! He loves treats and will follow you through the

pasture just to see if you have more to give him. Poco is so curious and friendly and really

enjoys hanging out in the pasture with the other horses and the occasional deer! As many

of you know, I am a horse-whisperer and Poco says that he cannot wait to befriend all our

campers this summer! Hes even doing extra sit-ups and pushups and eating extra

vegetables to get his body ready for all the amazing ring and trailrides he plans to give this summer.

So there you have it. Poco is getting ready for the summer... are you?!

Now you may wonder, What

about older girls? They can also

attend Day Camp as Program

Aides if they are registered Girl

Scouts and have completed the PA

Core Training course and can

attend Camp Pisgahs safety &

program training in early June.

This is one of our three-day

horse program for girls in

grades 4-6 just learning how

to ride. Get lessons from our

wranglers, learn how to

groom and care for horses

and create horse crafts to

take home! This program was

so popular it quickly filled, so

we added another session

June 12-14. So register to-

day. Is there a better way toget the summer vacation

started?!

Another three-day program

for all the horse lovers, Pony

Tails is exclusively for our

youngest girls, entering

grades 1-3. These little

cowgirls will learn to ride,

groom and care for our

horses. Girls can also create

crafts and explore other camp

activities. This was another

popular program that

required an additional date

June 12-14. So saddle up lil

cowgirls and get ready for

the bestest horse adventure!

Camp Pisgah is offering a fun Day

Camp program for all girls in

grades 1-6. All sessions include

swimming, arts & crafts, boating,

sports and a sleepover on Thursday

night. Lunch and a snack are

provided daily and there is van

service available at select stops for

an additional fee.

Session Spotlight

Girls entering grades 4-6 can

come get your hands dirty in

this clay-tastic session! Create

clay animals, fashions from

clay beads, decorate animal

masks, and pinch and coil pots

to take home.! I mean really,

who doesnt want to get a

little dirty and have fun doing

it?!

Come Clay AroundFor those who were saddened

by the closing of the climbing

wall, you can wipe away the

tears and rejoice there is a

brand new climbing wall at

Camp Pisgah that is at least

3x the size of the old one! Notonly will you scale this wooden

mammoth, you will participate

in an archery tournament,

night hike and outdoor

camping to sleep under the

stars. Come join us July 21-

Hey Camp Pisgah, its Spring. When will our girls find out

what unit they will be staying in? This is my daughters firstSummer Camp and she is SO excited!

April 4 at 12:44pmHey Kellie! First of all, YAY for your daughter!! Shes taking a big girl

step and shes going to have a blast this summer. Now onto your

question, unit assignments will be revealed at Family Fun Day on June

2, 2013. This is a wonderful event that brings staff, campers and

families together held right here at Camp Pisgah. You will be able to

meet our staff and tour the camp. Parents will also be able to see

firsthand where their little ones will bunk during the summer. Then to

top the day off, we will have a celebration with games, activities and

food. You can purchase tickets carnival style during the event to

enjoy these festivities. If you are not able to make Family Fun Day,

dont worry, well post the unit assignments here in Terrapin Times!

I'm BoomBoom and this will

be my first year at camp. Ill

be your Waterfront Director.

I'm from New Jersey but I

study Athletic Training at

Temple University. I can't

say that I've ever been a Girl

Scout before (ha ha), but I

am an Eagle Scout. I like

being outdoors, meeting new

people, playing sports and

camp, I might explode!
