Debating Win!!
Last Friday the DPPS Debating team travelled to Beelbangera Public School to
participate in the Griffith and District Debating Competition. Our team
brought home a win, which makes DPPS successful 6 years in a row!!
Our first topic was that ‘All schools should have class pets’. We took the
affirmative case in the argument against Yoogali Public school. In the second
impromptu debate we drew the negative side to argue the topic ‘The
government should pay for all school excursions’. We were victorious against
Lake Wyangan Public School in this debate
Congratulations to our team members: Henry, Laura, Billy and Tanaiya.
Special thanks to Mrs Guest who sacrificed her time to prepare the debating
team and to Mrs Lacey who took the team and helped out on the day.

Head Lice
There has been a case of Head Lice reported to
the school. This infection is highly contagious.
The most effective way to reduce incidents in a
school is for all parents to carry out a thorough
examination of their children’s heads and treat
any lice found at the same time.
Please check your child immediately and treat if
required.
Children are not excluded from school, however,
treatment must be carried out immediately. Once
your child has been treated, he/she may remain at
school.
